I came in for my yearly diabetic eye exam. Dr Law also checked on how my lenses were doing after my cataract surgery, two years ago,and gave me an exam for a new prescription. As always Dr Law was great. He's very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I trust Mountain Eye Center for all of my vision needs. And highly recommend them to others.
Dr. Peterson genuinly cares cares about his patients and their concerns. After sustaining a blunt injury to my eyes the week before, I noticed a sudden, significant change in my vision. It was a Saturday and Dr. Perstson offered to come meet me at the clinic, even though I was already scheduled to see him the following Monday. He was very kind, and very thurough, doing multiple exams promptly to check for all sorts of possibile explanations for my sudden changes in vision. He was then able to assure me these sudden changes were likely temporary as everything looked good structurally from the retinas, corneas, macula and more. Latter that evening I thought of another possibility, Reaching out to Dr. Peterson, for a second time , that same Saturday to see if I could still come take the original Monday slot to check one more thing. He promptly replied to assure me he had also checked for this new concern Id thought of as well and things there looked great. He said there was one more type of scan we could do just to be extra certain everything was good. That Monday he was every bit as prompt, kind and thurough. Even gave me more reassurance on a separate concern I had. I really felt he went above and beyond with me. And I'm beyond greatful to him and the great staff at Mountain View.
Dr Peterson has been my eye doctor for several years. I can highly recommend him. He is always friendly and professional. He is very knowledgeable and he will take time to answer questions and explain procedures. He cares about his patients. His staff is great also.
I sought care from Dr. Jeppson's office this week for an eye emergency and was disappointed with my experience. I felt that my concerns were not adequately heard or addressed, and the treatment recommendations did not improve my condition. In fact, my symptoms worsened.
Additionally, it required three calls to the emergency hotline before I received a response. When I did hear back, I was told there was nothing further that could be done. The communication felt dismissive and lacked empathy, and I was concerned by the absence of urgency given the nature of my situation.
Based on this experience, I would encourage others to carefully consider their options when seeking eye care.
I've been getting annual eye exams for over a decade, and this was easily one of the worst experiences I've had at an eye center.
The problems started at scheduling. The receptionist didn't really listen to what I needed and tried to push me toward a different doctor based on what worked better for their schedule instead of my insurance benefits. It took unnecessary back and forth just to book correctly.
During the exam, everyone was polite, but they didn't listen when I explained that my benefits were with a new contact brand and that I did not want my old brand. Despite that, I was sent home with a prescription for the same brand, which prevented me from ordering the contacts I'm actually covered for. What stood out to me was that they didn't even attempt to help me with ordering contacts or glasses, which I've always experienced at other eye centers.
When I called to have the prescription corrected, I was told it would be emailed to me. Over a week passed with no response, my calls were ignored twice, and I eventually received a text saying they would not change it unless I came in for another full exam.
This feels like a systemic issue with communication and follow-through. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Mountain View Eye Center.
I appreciate Dr. Jepsen so much! He is always kind, and very thorough with my eye exams.. I have an autoimmune disease as well as diabetes and because of that my eyes have had several issues throughout the years. Dr. Jepsen is aware of my health issues, takes time to explain things, listens to my concerns and gives me valuable advice. He is always positive and has thr best bed side manners. I would refer him to anyone. Thank you Dr. Jensen for all you do.
Dr. Peterson is awesome. He takes time to talk with you, hear your concerns and address them. He quick and professional and I was in and out quick. His staff and Melinda at the Glasses counter were kind and helpful too!
I totally pleased with the whole staff & how well I was taken care of.
Dr. Peterson is the very best. I'm so glad I went with him to do my surgery & follow-ups.
I feel very confident that everything is great & that he did his very Best.
