Tanner Clinic: Trent Richards, MD

I had glaucoma stents inserted and cataract surgery done by Dr. Trent Richards. He is very professional and has an excellent manner with patients. We were new to this area, leaving a great eye doctor in Illinois. After several interactions with Dr. Richards we were very comfortable with his level of expertise and confident in his abilities. We were not disappointed. We are extremely grateful to have found him thru Dr. Eric Hogan's kind recommendation. My husband and I highly recommend him.

Very knowledgeable in the field but a very unpleasant and unfriendly doctor. Doctor barely looked at me, seemed distracted. Was in & out in like 5 minutes. Never said hello. And said I could leave without saying anything else. He just stared at his papers. Will never see him again.

We had a great experience with Dr. Trent Richards. His assistant (don't know her name! Short curly hair.) was so good with my kids. They saw my 4 year old who used pictures instead of letters. They fitted my older son for glasses. Overall the appointment was very positive. Dr. Richards talked to my son about baseball (what my son loves most in the world) and really helped him understand why getting glasses will benefit him. It was really a sweet conversation.

Dr. Trent Richards is very intelligent, caring, polite and also lean, fit and agile able to perform eye surgeries with outstanding results. I really appreciate his many years of study and hard work that gave me 20-20 vision in both of my eyes after cataract surgery! I haven't been able to see this good since I was a kid! Don't trust your eye care to anyone else!

The staff is great. They are fast and get you in and out, very polite and explain everything. However... trying to get anyone to ever! Answer the phone is a joke, and almost impossible! Just gotta leave messages about everything... then when you finally get back to you... they are more irritated than happy to answer your questions and concerns. I called for maybe 2 weeks trying to get my daughters perscription faxed to me to order her glasses and the lady I finally spoke with... repeated her information back to me to make sure to send the right one and when I got the fax it definitely was not my daughters or anyone information. And that perscription had literally all of this other littke girls information on itt and when I called to report the mistake... of course no one answered and no one replied to my voicemail. So im still trying to get things figured out to get her new glasses since hers broke and contacts!

Ever person I worked with to get my cataract surgery from Dr. Trent Richards was amazing it's hard to say enough about how amazing Dr. Trent Richards is with his skills his bedside manner He is as good as it gets. I would highly recommend him for anyone.

I really appreciate Dr Richard's! I haven't needed any serious surgery from Dr. Richards, but I have interacted with him for periodic eye exams, and I am so impressed with his kindness that I will feel comfortable with him as a surgeon if and when I need one!

Dr Richards performed cataract surgery on both my eyes in December. I previously had Lasik and severe dry eyes. He was able to get me to 20/20 vision in both eyes for distance. Dr Richards provides all the details for the surgery, pros and cons. I highly recommend him and his staff. He has been my ophthalmologist for several years and now is my little girls doctor too.
