America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

We bought two pairs of glasses. One pair was some reading glasses. The other pair was regular glasses for near-sightedness. The near-sighted glasses were terrible. The frames are made of plastic and are very flimsy. The frames broke within a month of purchase. The wearer is a responsible adult, who only wears them in the evenings. We went back to America's Best in Orem, where we had purchased them just a few weeks earlier, but they said they would not warrant nor fix them. We have each worn glasses for over 50 years, and we've NEVER had a pair of glasses break. This was our first time to try America's Best. We expected better service. And we expected better quality of glasses. These glasses are not good quality. We actually tried again to get help fixing the glasses. They refused, but told us we could go to a place in Murray and get them fixed there (for a fee, of course.) We went to the location in Murray, and thankfully that glasses-repair shop (not an America's Best business) were able to fix them. They said the glasses were very flimsy and commented on the poor quality and way they were built. The glasses-repair shop put some metal in to strengthen the frames, and after paying the fee, we left with a good pair of glasses. This glasses repair shop actually had to fix two things on the glasses. Had we not bought the glasses at America's Best, we would have saved a lot of money. This was our first and last time to visit America's Best. After paying nearly $100 to repair their poor quality of frames, we will NOT be returning. This was a very bad experience. We will go back to using a reputable, reliable company that will stand behind their quality and merchandise. We are very sorry we bought the poor-quality glasses there, and that we were treated so poorly, that we are not valued customers. We are very disappointed.

I did have some issues that I encountered while my appointment for my eye exam was taking place or after but there were redeeming qualities ultimately solve my issue. However I was about to leave on a very upset know and had to be proactive about the situation where they didn't have my type contact lenses in trial nor did any America's best I would have had to have waited from now until October with no glasses or anything and I spoke with the eye doctor about my concern of needing trial contacts today and she told me that would be just fine they just wouldn't be the exact brand that I typically ordered which is fine by me. But I guess ultimately that message didn't get passed on to the staff inside the office because even once I had gone back inside I had to tell them about my conversation with the doctor before they were going to even try to find me contacts that were close enough to my prescription to wear in the mean time. Overall I would say this is my biggest complaint But ultimately everybody was kind and courteous and my issue did get resolved after I was proactive and had to go speak up for myself so just be aware of that. But that can also be something that happens anywhere in our lives where we might have to stand up for ourselves because nobody else is going to be a better advocate for ourselves than us. Final note I was running late and let them know I wasn't going to be able to make my appointment on time and I'm sure they don't want it to be a regular thing that people do but I was very grateful that they were super courteous and found the next available appointment just after I would be arriving so my wait time was minimal and that was exceptional which is why I ultimately settled on 5 stars. I've never had an eye exam, nor had glasses in the past. I was unsure of what to expect. However, the employees at the Orem location we're so kind and helpful. They assisted my granddaughter and I through the entire process and made it completely painless and a lot less confusing than it could have been. Extremely clean store and Grace, the woman who helped us pick out our glasses made sure that we kept on our budget. The manager of the store was very thoughtful and made sure we had the best experience possible. This is a clean store that is very well organized and was a pleasure to visit. I will definitely recommend America's Best in Orem to everyone I know that needs glass.

This is one of the best places to get glasses they always have the best deals and save me so much money! Caitlin was the best she helped me so much and was so nice and helped me pick the cutest glasses for me personally she's the best! Go see Caitlin! Also eye doctor Winward is awesome and super helpful he made my exam really easy and comfortable I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this americas best for eye glasses they really care and I love that!

I had an incredible experience with my sales rep Meghan, she helped me effectively decide on 2 great pairs of glasses that I have loved the past few months. Thank you for the knowledgeable guidance, it has made working on a computer all day much easier!

Honestly, if it weren't for the salesperson Carlos, I wouldn't come back to this place. He was very professional and honest, but the system played a bad trick. If I hadn't been carefully checking the charges, I would have lost money. You have to be extremely careful with your totals because the deals seem misleading. The consumer protection department should really look into this system. I want to make it clear that my negative experience is not because of Carlos--he was honest and very professional throughout.

I went in for an eye exam for colored contacts. I've never worn contacts before, but I'm a cosplayer and I wanted to give it a try this year. They had me come in for a contact class of sorts. I worked with Regan, and she was so encouraging and enthusiastic even when I got discouraged. It was really difficult for me to learn how to put my contacts in, but she was never impatient with me. I had to come back later in the day to try again, and I finally learned how to put them in! Everyone here is so nice and supportive. Totally recommend!

Whatever you do, DO NOT get service from Heidi at this store. Very unpleasant experience! Also the company does not back it's products; they just want your money and more money.
