I have been a loyal customer here for years and always trusted them with my glasses, which is why this experience was so disappointing.
My most recent pair scratched extremely easily and did not resist smudging at all. I paid for scratch-resistant, smudge-resistant, and blue-light-resistant lenses - the same upgrades I've purchased before ,yet the quality was noticeably worse. After months of trying to tolerate them, I finally called to ask about the issue and was told they had switched lens companies around the time my glasses were made and that the new lenses are lower quality.
I felt this was unfair since I paid the same price I always have for premium lenses. When I asked if they could remake my lenses through the previous company that provided the higher quality, I was told no. I was informed that if I wanted the issue fixed, I would have to pay for an entirely new pair.
After going back and forth, I ended up paying full price again just to have my glasses remade through the previous lab. Throughout this process, the front desk staff member was dismissive, rude, and showed no concern for resolving the situation or keeping a long-time customer satisfied.
I have always liked the eye doctor- he is amazing and so kind , but the poor product quality and unhelpful customer service from the older front desk lady have completely changed my experience. After many years of loyalty, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Edit - i'm changing my review from a one star to a 4 star. Someone from the office called and apologized and made everything correct the best way she could. It was amazing to feel like someone actually cared ! still really disappointed in the receptionist but other than that I feel like they did everything they could to make it right!
I was impressed with the service at Perry & Morgan Eyecare.
The staff was very pleasant. Dr. Pew was very thorough and took the time to explain the options that I had.
Dr. Reed is absolutely amazing! I have struggled with dry eyes and keratoconus problems for almost two years now. I have spent thousands on treatments and things to bandage the problem. I have done everything from steroid drops, heating masks, tea tree wipes, expensive drops like Cequa (When not feeling improvement to be told it takes 2-4 months to start working. Then after the 4 months to be told it takes longer to work.), over the counter tear drops, a special hydro coating on my contacts, expensive vitamins, a special cleaning solution for my contacts, and IPL treatments. Because of having keratoconus, I am unable to wear glasses. It has been extremely frustrating to be told to keep doing what I am doing and eventually it will get better or nothing they can do. I have wasted so much money down the drain because nothing worked because the other doctors weren't treating the actual cause. I have also had 5 different eye doctors working together and getting told the same thing.
I am so grateful a friend told me about Dr. Reed. He ran several extensive tests to figure out what my problem was. All the other doctors put it all under the category of "dry eye." Dr. Reed found the root of my problems and immediately began fixing the actual problem. After one treatment I begin to feel relief and have improved a ton. Dr. Reed was also great to explain what is causing my dry eye and let's just say it is more complex than just tear flow. Which is all I have been told in the past.
Dr. Reed is passionate and truly wants you to feel better. He is 100% worth the drive from Logan and I highly recommend him! He is phenomenal at what he does. I was beginning to lose hope and became extremely frustrated. To finally feel relief and someone who cares is beyond words. Hands down the BEST eye doctor out there. Thank you, Dr. Reed for helping me feel better and getting back to doing the things I love.
I was so impressed with Dr. Pew at Perry Eye Care. He spent a lot of time with me. He was VERY thorough and knowledgeable. He is easy to talk to and has a very pleasant personality. The staff was very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this office to those seeking great eyecare!
The entire experience provided by Dr. Reed and the staff at Perry & Morgan Eye Care is outstanding. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with happy faces and even better customer service. Dr. Reed was the first optometrist that was successful in diagnosing my dry eye disease and he quickly devised a treatment plan using OptiLight which worked wonders. Overall, ranging from the pleasant atmosphere to the kind professionalism they provide, I would recommend anyone seeking out eye care to visit Perry & Morgan.
Excellent experience! We live in Morgan and this is very convenient (not something I'm used to when living in a small town!). The doctor and staff are SUPER personable, and a pleasure to work with. I have some challenges getting glasses made properly for my eyes (I had a severe blunt-trauma injury as a teen and the focal points for each eye are at slightly different heights.) Staff was very understanding and patient as we worked through multiple visits to get the trifocal lines at the correct height for each eye. I LOVE Morgan EyeCare. :)
Perry Eye Care is the best! They are professional, courteous and very helpful. Dr. Reed and his staff take the time to explain all the details, from the exam, to the selection of frames, and to what my insurance will cover. It's always nice to see a friendly face when I go to the doctor. Janeese always greets me with a smile. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. They make you feel right at home!
Dr Reed is excellent. Very personable and shows concern. My dry eye was so bad I couldn't keep my eyes open to watch tv, it was so painful. It's soooo much better now. I would HIGHLY recommend him. Office staff is also very friendly and caring
