Apple Valley Vision Center

We loved coming here for our son and his vision needs. The doctor is great. But as time has gone on we have tried calling for appointments and questions and we can never get through and we don't receive calls back. This is concerning when our son is in need of appointments and glasses. So we may have to go elsewhere.

Very glad that I found Apple Valley Vision and have been coming here for the last couple years for eye exams. Dr Stocke is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does and helping his patients. Highly recommend!

This is definitely my new eye doctor! I'm a very tuff critic with customer service and knowing if someone knows what they're doing and recognize it instantly! Nathan beat my expectations and has the most peaceful setup I've ever been in. Shows he truly cares about his profession and helping his patients! Made me feel super relaxed and answered all my questions and then some! If you've been looking for a great trustworthy eye doctor and have been hesitant about your options! Today was my first visit after a not so great experience at my last eye doctor. After trying out several providers in the area, I believe I found one I can stick with. Everyone, from the sweet lady who checked me in (I'm so sorry, I didn't get her name but she's older, soft spoken and very kind) to Dr. Stocke, was very nice and pleasant to deal with. Dr. Stocke is incredibly friendly and thorough, and made a point to ensure all my questions were answered. He might seem like he's rushing, but he's just a fast talking southerner. The one thing I will say is while the young lady assisting with frames was pleasant and helpful, it did feel like I was being rushed a little in choosing my frames. Not a huge deal, but something to consider. The office is very comfortable and I really loved seeing fish tanks in the exam room. :)

Had set up an appointment with Apple Valley Vision Center and let them know that it was my first week of work so I may have to reschedule week of. After receiving a call asking if I could make it the day prior, I said yes thinking I still could. Later that same day my job got in the way and I was informed I would be unable to make it. Tried to make a call saying that I would need to reschedule to which I was directed to voicemail. I tried calling again later that day(all of this was during open hours, first call was only about 10 minutes after they called me) they sent me to voicemail again, to which I left another message. I tried calling again the next day, hoping go get through to someone, and once again was sent to voicemail. To me this seems very unprofessional. While I did have to cancel close to appointment time, I did give as much notice as possible. To which I was met with the rudeness of someone not even willing to pick up calls from my number anymore. To lose a customer in this way is very very unprofessional and disappointing. I would have gladly rescheduled or paid a fee for having to reschedule so late. But they would not even offer that, let alone pick up calls. I am beyond disappointed in the customer service offered from this establishment.

Been going here for 5+ years and love this place! The optometrist is soft spoken and willing to explain anything you need patiently. once your exam is complete, you are brought out to his wife Dana who I personally have had a ball on at least 3 occasions picking out the perfect frame. she is knowledgeable and honest in her opinion. it's like shopping with your best girlfriend. they wont steer you wrong.

UPDATE: I'm removing my negative review. As I said previously, Dr Stocke is a hard working and compassionate optometrist and he demonstrated that by calling me personally to talk about all the bad things I experienced, apologized for how things went down, and is working to make everything right by me. I honestly could have cried when he called to tell me my experience was valid and he doesn't want his practice to be remembered for that type of care. It's so rare that anyone admits to a mistake and even rarer that they try to do right by it. I have the utmost respect for Dr Stocke and I'm changing my review to reflect just how positive of an impact he had on me personally. This is a doctor who really does care and the community deserves to see a positive review that reflects him as a practitioner.

This was our visit with Dr. Stocke at Apple Valley. My husband and I were very impressed with how thorough he was with the exam. We are both in our mid 50's and our vision is changing. Dr. Stocke explained the different options for vision correction without any sales agenda. He took time to see our individual needs instead of churning out a Rx. He is also a wonderful person with a kind and caring "bedside manner". We will definitely be back!
