MJ might be great when you agree on things but becomes very unprofessional when you don't agree with him. I bought glasses from him and things were great for a year. Then the coating was coming of from the bottom rim by my cheeks and they were becoming discolored. I brought them in to look at. He stated they were from oils etc. from my face. I told him I beg to differ with you I have had glasses since the third grade probably about 30 years ago. He got upset and very unprofessional loudly said he had been doing glasses for 30 some years and this happens. You are under 2 year warranty. I will order another pair. I went back to get them I pointed out the paint was flaking off I saw that he said. He somewhat adjusted them. Still being mad I did not say thank you he said your welcome as I was leaving. I have been back 3 times to have them adjusted the last time ( yesterday) my son went in with me. MJ met me half way across the room and only wrenched on my glasses by hand. Very unprofessional ( don't get him mad at you)! Needless to say they are not adjusted right! I have never given anyone a bad review before but believe this one was warranted. Note: I did notice an earlier complaint was taken off the website. Very unhappy costumer.i was completely cordial to except for the time I didn't say thank you. My son was at the last non glasses straighten . I was inno way snotty etc... even though he did a really bad job straightening them. Must not need the costumers!

I was visiting town from PA, my glasses needed a quick repair. After googling I found Middlebury Optics. I stopped in without an appointment, I was pleasantly helped by Amjad. He was super pleasant, helpful and fixed my glasses on the spot and did not charge me a cent. I offered but he refused. It's super refreshing to come across folks like this. Thank you so much!! Keep up the good work!

I was just checking the business hours so I could refer a friend and decided to read through the reviews. I couldn't leave without putting in my two cents after reading a previous two star review related to fitting online glasses. Everyone in my family wears glasses, my mother, my father, both brothers, myself and both of my children. My son was especially hard on glasses, lost, broken, bent, like a near weekly occurrence. MJ was my go-to guy. He recommended great flexible frames--I bought two pair. Seemed like we always had one pair "in the shop" to get un-mangled--this went on for years. MJ was just the best. Could I have purchased on line maybe cheaper?-sure but his help was priceless or at least worth every penny I paid. 5-star for sure!

Fast and friendly service. He even offered to come outside to the car to adjust my 96 year old grandmother's frames if she wasn't up for trying to get inside.

Had great experience. I totally recommend this place. The work quick and efficiently fixing the glasses. The person there was very attentive and kind.

Very nice job on the glasses. What got under my skin is the fact that there is a charge for using a credit card which was not mentioned or included in the price quoted. I could have easily written a check.

Told me to come today late last week and I arrived around 9:30 a.m. or so, " the lenses haven't even arrived MJ said to me , then he insultingly told me to wait for his email. He also falsely charged an untold fee of $13.00 additional after he told me one price, I take a look at the receipt, Ann add on extra for no cash charged. Bought a pair of rayban sunglasses and he told me they were medium size, I took a look at them once home and the box and the number size on the sunglasses were indicated to me as large. He's a competent liar and a cheat. Don't do business with him if you're seeking honesty.
