Dr. Shiple has always answered my questions and explained tests and procedures thoroughly during yearly office visits. I'm particularly grateful for his taking the extra time and care needed to perform cataract surgery on my eye that had suffered structural damage in an accident 35 yrs. ago. "Slowly and carefully" I heard him describe the surgery that resulted in the successful insertion of a new lens. I'm very grateful and appreciate not only his professional expertise, but his thoughtful care and time during the surgery.

Dr Shiple saved my vision from acanthamoeba keratitis almost 10 years ago. At one point I was mostly blind in my infected eye and within a year of treatment it was fully recovered and its as if it never happened. I'll never forget how much you helped me! Thank you!

Dr. Shiple's practice was recommended to me by my Optometrist, Dora Sudarsky, DO, of Shelburne Road, South Burlington,VT. I am very pleased with the entire practice of Opthalmic Consultants of Vermont. Dr. Shiple is delightful to interact with, as he has a relaxed, yet professional demeanor. He asks continually if you are comfortable, and if you have any questions to each medical statement he makes. I had one cataract removal surgery last year and could hardly wait for my second eye to be "ready" for its cataract removal, now coming-up soon. I spoke so highly of the Practice, Dr.Shiple specifically, and Dr. Spitelli, an Opthalmic Surgeon and anesthesiologist that my husband has had his cataract surgery with the same practice. Entire staff is professional, kind and respectful. I highly recommend!
