Silk Vision LASIK Surgical Center

My medical insurance has recently changed, and I discovered Dr. Silk through an online search for a physician specializing in Fuchs Dystrophy and cataract surgeon. I must admit, I was a bit apprehensive, having had two less-than-satisfactory experiences previously. Nevertheless, I made an effort to introduce myself to nearly all of his office staff. My initial appointment and the general overview were quite positive. The atmosphere was quite encouraging, prompting further developments.

I had such a great experience with Dr. Silk and the entire team! They made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. They listened to my concerns, explained the treatment options clearly, and didn't rush through the appointment. The entire staff is caring and professional. I'm so grateful to have found a doctor I trust with my vision.

I was in and out quick. Dr. Silk didn't waste time in formulating a medical plan. My experience was excellent. Staff is great. Parking very easy, which is a big plus for me. Clean facility.

Dr. silk was a very friendly, personable guy. The staff was also friendly. I had successful surgery on both eyes and it's made a HUGE difference in my vision. Dr. Silk and his team has done everything possible to make sure I was comfortable during the surgeries and followed up to make sure I was doing well after the surgeries. I'd recommend Silk Vision to anyone having vision issues.

My last review was deleted, so I'm writing another one. Again, I wanna start off by saying the one star review is simply for customer service via Dr. silk's receptionist. It did in no way reflect his ability to do his job. He is a very good eye surgeon and does very well at his job. That being said, I brought my stepfather here for his eye surgery as I was the one who needed to drive him home afterwards. My entire family was treated very poorly by the upstairs receptionist in 308. Not only are they very unfriendly and unwelcoming, but one of them went as far as to tell my mother "your daughter is a liar and if you bring her in here, I'll tell her that to her face" of course, when I went inside to speak with the receptionist and figure out what was going on, she would not come out to talk to me. Another receptionist came out to speak with me. I was told it would be an hour and a half before my stepfather could have his postop appointment check, but since we live so far away, we decided to wait in our vehicle. Which the paper clearly states you're allowed to do. I was later told by the receptionist that she told me to wait in the office and I left anyways, which is not true. I was never told to wait in the office by anybody. While we were waiting to have the postop appointment check, my stepfather's eye began to bleed, so I took him back inside and they did his postop check immediately and we were able to go home. Overall, Dr. did an amazing job with my stepfather's eyes, but he should probably look for more of a professional staff for his office

I don't like writing negative reviews, but I want to highlight areas for improvement, especially as I'm particular about quality care. I chose Dr. Silk because of his great reputation, but my experience was disappointing. I explained my recent sunlight sensitivity and headaches and provided past exam summaries due to I had ICP, but my concerns seemed overlooked. When a patient brings past records, the doctor should explain any changes or differences, especially if new symptoms have appeared. He didn't advise me on managing my sensitivity, like wearing sunglasses or should do something else or any changes to my current glasses. My eyes were dilated without warning, affecting my vision for hours while I had to drive back to work. He recommended a follow-up field vision test for glaucoma, but multiple visits are hard for patients who work full-time. While I respect his knowledge, the visit felt rushed and less attentive to patient needs. Update# Dr. Silk reached out to me personally and provided my eye exam summary after my initial concerns. I appreciate the follow-up and communication.

Dr. Silk is a great cataract surgeon with a very good bedside manner. His office staff is very friendly and helpful. Easy to make appointments and short wait time. Facility is clean.

The reception service was great, and the young man who spoke Spanish was very good, but I didn't like the last doctor's treatment of us. He told us we were from Texas, even though we weren't, and then he seemed uncomfortable with us speaking Spanish. (I'm very unhappy with this service.) The treatment should be the same for everyone, regardless of their features, nationality, or language. Then he applied a yellow liquid to our eyes without telling us to wait for the blurred vision to clear up; he just said, "Bye!" A little empathy would be appreciated, because when we left the office, we felt terrible with blurred vision, while other people (two men) were left waiting in the office with the yellow liquid. That's how we noticed the treatment! The only difference was that he gave me his card to recommend to my friends! But I was left dissatisfied.
