Capital Vision, Amy Kotecha MD

The few years that I've been a patient of Dr. Amy Kotecha at Capital Vision have been nothing but pleasurable. My endocrinologist highly recommended Dr.Kotecha as a brilliant eye doctor. If it wasn't for Dr. Kotecha and her thorough evaluation of my eyesight I probably would've lost some of my vision. She recommended an eye surgeon that resolved my glaucoma issues. The other thing I admire about Dr. Amy is that in her extremely busy practice she makes time to teach and mentor the students in her practice who happen to be up and coming ophthalmologists working in her office. My encounter with these youthful (future) doctors has been nothing but pleasurable.They are respectful, which I'm calling their good bedside manners. She is teaching them to be respectful, attentive, good listeners, and most of all caring. It gives me Hope for our future and I'm extremely grateful that Dr. Amy Kotecha is molding these future doctors. Dr. Kotecha's office is always a pleasant place to be. She is a phenomenal Doctor and you can tell not only by the way she tends to her patients but by the way she interacts with her staff. My best friend and I came for an exam and had the pleasure of meeting Alishba. I don't know how Dr. K. does it. She always seems to hire the best people. Alisba is a very kind and capable, young professional. She handled us with care.

The Dr. Kotecha and her staff are awesome! When I had an eye emergency that required immediate attention, they were able to squeeze me in and help me get the right medication to get better. Their environment is so welcoming, and I highly recommend them to anyone!

*******What a bad experience. ********** They helped me two hours after my appointment. Dr. Amy was the worst. When I asked her questions, she rolled her eyes, as if the consultation was free. They charged me as if I didn't have insurance. They don't care about their patients, they just want to make money. I don't recommend them.

We are so grateful for Dr. Kotecha and her friendly staff. We have been patients for about one year. One day I noticed my husband squinting with one eye while he was reading. I called Dr. Kotecha's office and Haley, the doctor's assistant, immediately said she could work my husband in. A very pleasant front desk scheduler, Johnathan greeted us and quickly checked us in. Dr. Kotecha is very thorough. Indeed she discovered that my husband's cataract had grown but otherwise he has a healthy eye. What a relief. With her advice we plan to have the cataract removed as soon as possible. Dr. Kotecha and her staff are very down to earth. We thought it was so great that the doctor's daughter, a happy Kira, was helping today in the office. It is jusy another example of how she cares about her patients and she cares her own family.
