Dr. David A. Haine, O.D.

My wife and I have had the pleasure of trusting our eye care to Dr. Haine and his staff for several years now. They are top notch and very professional, skilled, and thorough in their examinations and never seem rushed to get to the next patients. Very refreshing in this day and age of "corporate medicine". Thanks for everything.

I need new glasses, which made me think of Dr. Haine. My visit was over 10 years ago, and I moved out of state. The thing is, the glasses I purchased from him are better than any I have gotten since, although my vision has worsened. I am tempted to call and get the prescription again. Dr. Haine is hands down the best optometrist I ever had, not to mention an outstanding sense of humor. The fact that a close to 15 year prescription is outperforming way more recent ones is mind-boggling and deserves to be recognized. Thank you, Dr. Haine!

I just had an appt with Dr Haines and as a former Optometric Technician I can only give him and his entire practice the highest praise. All staff are extremely well trained and continuing education is a focus of the practice. It was THE most thorough eye exam I have ever had--and I'm a critical observer -- at these appointments. His equipment is more technologically advanced than with retina specialist I saw recently in NJ and Richmond. He knew important to watch as medicine side effects my oncologist never mentioned. Excellent care. Highly recommend!

Where to start. The only pro of this office, they were able to get me a new patient appointment quickly. Now for the negatives. My appointment was at 3:15, I arrived at 3. I did not leave the office until nearly 6 pm for a basic eye exam! I sat in the room alone for 45 mins waiting for majority of the time. Office staff were talking negatively about other staff or patients so loudly you could hear it through the walls. Front desk ladies were talking bad about clients once they left. The main reason that pushed me to write a review is due to their terrible billing practices. I am not sure what they do billing wise, but it should be considered illegal! I have eye insurance, but they bill medical? Leading you to pay MORE. In 25 years of getting eye care, I have never paid for any eye exam other than for contacts. I continue to get weird amounts as low as $25 to $150, AFTER paying $60 in the office the day of the appointment. Seek eye care elsewhere! I should have read the other reviews before seeking care here.

For nearly 30 years, I have been a patient of Dr. Haine's. If you are looking for a doctor who will 1) thoroughly assess your needs, 2) counsel you on effective strategies for self-care, and 3) follow up with you to assure that your needs are being addressed successfully, then you do not need to look further than Dr. Haine. Did I mention that Dr. Haine and his team will leave you truly believing that you're the most important patient they serve? There have been moments as his patient when I may have been "high maintenance" in my book (and I know about the importance of customer service). I remain amazed by how the team over and over exceeds expectations while gladly and genuinely demonstrating individualized attention and care for their patients.

I highly recommend Dr.Haine. He has great professionalism and a wonderful attitude. His team is also very polite and personable. It seems he truly cares about his patients. I feel he pays great attention to detail and actually listens to my concerns. If you need a great eye doctor look no further.

Dr. Haine isn't just an excellent optometrist, he is a kind and caring person. He helped talk me through a rough patch in life in addition to providing extensive testing, taking time to answer any questions I had, when when I was worried about my vision health. I have been going to Haine Family Eye care since when his father was an eye doctor. If you can afford it, Dr. Haine is the best in eye care you can find.

Beware !!! My husband made an appointment for a routine eye exam (he knew he was needing glasses ). When he got to his appointment they kept asking for his health care card My husband kept telling them that he had vision insurance and that's what he planned on using. Over and over they kept saying I want your health insurance information and reluctantly he gave it to them but once again he mentioned his vision insurance (he says they acted like they were clueless about the eye insurance however the doctor is on their in network list). So long story we got a bill for $270. I called the office asking them why didn't they file through vision (they filed medical insurance). They kept saying it had to be processed that way but I insisted it go through vision. They finally agreed to file through vision and then today we got another notice about the bill. I called our vision insurance and surprise surprise they HAVE NOT filed it! So now here it goes again me insisting on the claim to go through vision which I doubt they will do (my guess is that the vision insurance will pay them half of what they trying to collect from us). So beware ... if you have vision insurance they won't file it!
