The staff were top notch!! From the time we walked in. We were greeted with a friendly smile an assisted with the registration process quickly. Waited only a few minutes, then were taken back to the room for testing. My technician was very sweet an knowledgeable. She explained everything very well an welcomed questions as she went along thru the tests. The physician was absolutely wonderful! She was so easy to talk to an understood my job role, & concerns that I had. She was soft spoken an welcomed questions as she went thru the exam as well. At the end of my exam, I was greeted with another friendly smile. This staff member assisted with glasses/ checkout process. Everyone at this facility was wonderful!!! I will recommend Blacksburg Eye to all my friends/ family. Thank you to that team for making this process so easy!

Staff from the moment I walked in until out the door was very professional, friendly, caring and much detail shown in diagnosis of my eye concern.Tech Charlotte was very kind, and very informative. Dr Mitchell is very caring and gets to the cause of any eye problem. She took time to listen to my concerns and thoroughly explained everything to me. I felt so much relief when I left her office. I had a great experience with Blacksburg Eye Associates! Everyone I interacted with was very helpful. Dr. Mitchell and Jordan, the technician who worked with me, were both fantastic. Jordan was friendly and explained what to expect at each part of the eye exam. Dr. Mitchell then showed me the images taken of my eyes and took the time to explain what she was looking for and why. As she performed more aspects of the eye exam, she answered all of my questions and gave me the sense that she cared about her patients' health. I'd highly recommend Dr. Mitchell and Jordan! The office staff was also great, and I didn't have a long wait.

The staff was very welcoming, greeted me by my name and walked me through every test. The techs were all very knowledgeable and kind. The prices for the exams were given to me before the appointment by request and any additional costs were explained. I feel I got an excellent exam and I have complete faith in my prescriptions. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at this office. I had a scheduled appointment and arrived, only to be told that my appointment would not be honored.
As a patient, I expect basic professionalism and respect for my time. Taking time off work and arranging my schedule only to be turned away is unacceptable. Communication and reliability are essential in healthcare, and unfortunately, this experience fell far short of that standard.
I hope the office takes steps to improve how they manage appointments and communicate with patients so others don't have to deal with the same frustration.

I saw that this place has 999 Google reviews, so I wanted to leave the 1,000th review. I've been going to Blacksburg Eye Associates for many years. It's the most excellent, professional eye care experience around. I rarely have to wait in the sitting area very long before I am called back to be seen. The staff are all very professional and courteous. The doctors always answer all my questions. Kudos to them because being an eye doc is probably kinda boring 'cause you do the same thing every day, so I appreciate being treated like a human with kindness and professionalism. I haven't purchased contacts or glasses from them in a while because I can usually find them cheaper online, but when it comes to the quality of service, this place is the best. I recommend Blacksburg Eye Associates to everyone who asks. They have set the bar high!
