Vistar Eye Center

I bring my mom here for macular degeneration. The staff and doctor are always nice. The gentleman, Guy, who takes pictures of the eyes went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable experience for my 93 year old mother who is in a wheelchair. He did some extra things to make sure she was comfortable with the process instead of just rushing her through. He was polite skilled and friendly too. I really appreciate the way he treated her.

My experience with Vistar worked out great. Dr. Karli Griffeth implanted the RxSight Light Adjustable Lens during two surgeries, about two weeks apart. After a three week waiting period, for the my eyes to heal and settle in, Dr. Brooke Conner-Tsang did the adjustments and lock-in treatments. After 60-years of wearing glasses now I don't have to anymore for far, intermediate, and near vision. The results turn out better than I expected given my nearsightedness and astigmatism. Thanks to both of these exceptionally qualified doctors for their work. I would recommend them and Vistar to anyone for cataract surgery and quality lens.

I see Dr. John for macular degeneration. Him and his staff have been exceptional throughout this process. They are very professional and care about their patients. I highly recommend Dr. John! He's the best!

The good news is their care may be fine.. but making patients wait 3 hours for a one hour appointment that has been scheduled in advance is crazy. If this happened at a restaurant, or any other service they'd try to comp an order, or at least apologize... But no . It's just "it happens, sometimes things take longer". Excuses aren't acceptable.

A 3 and a half hour wait time (that was 3 hours wait time before she was even called back and then rushed through a 30 min appointment) for an elderly disabled patient is unacceptable. According to other patients, reviews and even staff.... they overbook because they are the only ones in or around this area to provide the services they provide.

Dr McClintock is awesome and is not only very highly qualified and knowledgeable but also has a great sense of heartfelt concern for his patients. If I were rating JUST him I'D rate him 5Star ++. But my last visit, for a scheduled follow up appointment, it was over 2 hours after my appointed time before he was able to see me. I am very grateful to Vistar and Dr McClintock for first seeing me in an emergency situation and correcting that immediately. So this is not to trash anyone but hopefully to drive the practice management team toward enhancing and better supporting their staff and patients. AGAIN, THANK YOU

Everyone at the Vistar Eye Center is very professional and helpful. I have complete confidence in Dr. John and his staff which I consider very important in my treatment. I have been going to Vistar since about 2010 for macular degeneration and have complete confidence in my treatment. Dr. John is always very busy but makes you feel very comfortable and calm with your treatment. He definitely is one of the best!!
