Everyone here is nice from my experience but I had placed an order for 99.9% blue light blocking glasses. When I received the pair they where not 99.9% or anywhere close to it. They then called me an hour later saying the best they could do was 40% but would be an extra charge, so I was lied to to make a sale. I had a feeling the lady was lying to me about them being that strong by but I decided to trust her. I asked for a refund and since I closed my bank I have to wait a month to get a refund check in the mail.

I had a frustrating experience with this eye doctor in Centerville. They charged me for my son's glasses without clearly explaining that he was not due for new glasses yet. I regularly buy his contacts from them, and they already knew he wasn't going to be using glasses at this time. Even after I made it clear he didn't need them, I was still charged. I wish there had been better communication and transparency about what I was being billed for.Don't go there unless you know what you're paying for.

One new young lady at reception is very un professional. She doesnot know the myeyedoctor service task and no smile with bad attriute. No manager call me back after i requested. They told me someone would call me back but none call me after 20 days. There is protection plan i bought but they refuse me to use it even i never used it with 15+ years relationship with the office

I had a very disappointing experience with this optical store. They charged me a final amount that was more than triple the reasonable market price for the same brand and lens type, even after billing the insurance for the maximum possible coverage and adding excessive additional charges specifically on the lenses. The lenses delivered were of noticeably poor quality: inferior materials, low precision, and significant manufacturing defects, while the invoice submitted to the insurance described much higher specifications. Delivery was delayed by several weeks with repeated false promises and changes to the pickup date without justification. The staff was unprofessional, dismissive, and rude throughout the process. This pattern strongly suggests intentional overbilling of insurance companies while providing significantly inferior products to patients -- a practice that may constitute insurance fraud and/or deceptive acts under Virginia law (SS 59.1-200). I strongly recommend anyone who experienced similar treatment to preserve all documents and file a formal complaint with the Virginia Attorney General's Consumer Protection Section and/or their insurance provider.

It pains me to have to leave this review because I've always liked this location so close to my home but it is a must now that my issues have finally been resolved 5 months later. Very long story short, my order from 12/29/24 was riddled with issues from frames being discontinued for a new pair to clear lenses being ordered for sunglasses. I did not get the correct sunglasses lenses until 3/1/25 as you can see in the screenshot, even then my frames that were only a couple of years old (and I absolutely loved) were cracked upon staff installing the lens (see photo attached). I did not receive my refund for the discontinued frames until 6/10/25 and 3 weeks later my insurance benefits had still not been restored until I escalated the issue with my insurance. Corporate MyEyeDr Patient Relations I'm assuming helped move this along but they stopped being responsive after a while from all of the back and forth. I do appreciate the resolution of a pair of glasses free of charge as a replacement but again their availability of frames were limited to order, even though they had the physical frames to try on. No issues with that replacement order and I did pay the extra $30 for insurance but I don't plan to purchase any more glasses or contacts from this location. The immense delay in resolution/refund and benefits restoration, lack of organization/follow up, and the need to return in person more times than necessary really left me with no other choice. I have a very busy work schedule and the fact that the only person who can actually get anything done (Stefany) works very similar hours only Mo-Fri (out before 5 pm) made this even more difficult to resolve in a timely manner. This location needs some serious help and additional management support. I wish them the best in improving the customer experience moving forward.

This is my first and last time at this location. Today I went here to pick up glasses I ordered earlier this month. So the guy comes back with only one pair of glasses, and we check them out. He's like everything good, which I confirm was good and asked where are my prescription shades. The look on his face tells me everything. Meanwhile the woman comes over talking about how she tried to call to get the glasses made and how she called other stores to find out have they heard about not being able to cut lenses in the frames I picked. They all pretty much said no. I had a warning two weeks ago when a customer showed up for pickup and his glasses weren't' there. I could hear them contacting the LAB asking what happened. Let's just say the customer was not happy at all. Here's my problem, I have been ordering glasses since 2009 from Costco and Target...NEVER had an issue!!!! I was recommended this place but WILL NOT go back. Was going to bring my daughter to get her a pair but NOPE!!! To Mr Owner of said location...keep your generic statement. UPDATE Management reached out to me to correct issue which is now resolved.

Unhelpful stuff. Indifferent, inattentive and incompetent. Just wanted an ajustment on my glasses- waited and waited. Associate annoyed by the fact that there was a customer in front of her. Claims she was unable to fix the problem, didn't even clean the frames, and tells me I have to buy new frames. Disassociate had no intention of being helpful, just dismissive. Assuming because it was 5:30 PM which is a whole 30 minutes before they close.

This place is a scam.They give you prescription without signatures. They want to sell you their overpriced glasses. If you don't get the glasses the prescription given to you is missing signatures. Make sure you walk out with a signed copy of prescription or don't use them at all.
