NoVA Eye MD - Nisha Patel, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Nisha Patel for many years. Recently she performed two cataract surgeries on my eyes. I am very pleased with the results. During the first surgery, Dr. Patel discovered that I have a unique condition that needed special attention. She dealt with it expertly. Dr. Patel was prepared to deal with the condition during the 2nd cataract, and all went well. I highly recommend Dr. Patel for eye care. She is a delight to visit as well.

Dr. Patel is fantastic! I have never had an eye doctor that I was partial to, but that has changed. She has always seen me within minutes of my arrival, and seems to actually care about her patients. The staff is great and was very helpful in explaining what the difference is between medical insurance and vision insurance and how that affects my costs. I am now going to get PRK done with her, and I wouldn't trust my vision with just anyone. Highly recommend Dr. Patel's office!

Earlier this month I had Dr Patel perform laser eye correction (PRK) on me after years of indecision. Almost a month later, I can comfortably say it was one of the the best decisions I ever made. The results are unbelievable; going from terrible eyesight to 20/20 is a dream come true. Aside from being a very talented and accomplished eye surgeon, Dr. Patel is also a delightful person and easy to work with. As a longtime Centreville resident who loves supporting local businesses, I would highly recommend Dr. Patel. 10/10!

Came with problem of double vision caused by an car accident, Nisha Patel did some testing, on my eyes and kind of in a rush just advised me to go to a different doctor to get more information, as we saying that this can be caused after my plastic surgery, which was successful and there was no issues, after my spouse start saying that we pay out of pocket and don't want to go from one doctor to another, also that we came here to get eye tested and find what causes the issue for my double vision and eye not being able to go fully down, Nisha Patel looked again kind of trying to prove my spouse she is right and then she said you know what, i kind of paid attention more on the other eye, but now i see that your eye is not going fully down so probably that has to do something with muscle or plastic surgery was not done correctly. Bottom line, could have done better, but she didn't like in the beginning when i went and asked why it's taking so long for doctor to come and inspect the eyes, while my appointment was at 1:40 and she came at 2:30pm.

I am Retired army col,retired ophthalmologist moved to this area to be with grand children.I have known cataracts I knew it has to be taken out.As an Ophthalmologist I was aware of all possible complications which makes me nervous..I researched the internet and my old friends recommended Dr. Nisha Patel.On my first visit I was impressed by the staff ,technicians were very efficient Dr Patel examined me and discussed all the options,even she was aware who I am she explained possible complication and we discussed initial laser procedure to facilitate cataract removal and lens implant.Day of surgery she talked to me and my wife,the staff at Reston surgical center were great.They took me to laser room I was amazed how was comfortable precise and extremely quick, then took me to to remove the already cut cataract by laser and put the implant it was quick and painless I will say Dr. Patel is expert in her field and has magic hands,. post opt. I had no pain or even foreign body sensation. My vision is 20/20 without glasses.My wife witnessed the progress, She made appointment to see Dr. Patel for her cataract surgery.I highly recommend Dr. Nisha Patel for cataract surgery. .

I'm currently typing this on my laptop and with the procedure to correct my vision and remove cataracts from Dr. Patel I no longer need reading glasses or glasses of any type. Both my wife and I are glasses free because of Dr. Patel. We could not be happier with her advice and help in talking with us prior to the procedure or her and the staff with the follow up office visits. One year after my PRK with Dr. Patel and I'm 20/10! The entire procedure was excellent (from my first visit to the final follow up). Her staff, lead by Jackie, are friendly, VERY professional and worked hard with my insurance on all my visits, copays, prescriptions - allowing me to focus on the treatment without a money headache. Recently my wife and I were in Dr. Patel's office. Both of us are patients, and we were commenting to each other that Dr. Patel is the most service minded physician that we have ever met. She is concerned about every detail of the patient's experience in her office: from the reception area, to the pre-examination prep, to the examination, and finally to the billing and follow up.
