The Eye Care Center

This review is of the Optometrist, not the retail center for glasses as the ladies there were wonderful. Dr. Kalra, however, had terrible "bedside" manners, truly inexusable, wouldn't answer basic questions, was terse, wouldn't even tell me the degree of vision degradation that I had (I answered this for myself with a 5 min google search using the diagnosis code, I have mild far hyperopia, far sightedness). I explained I hadn't been to an eye doctor in 20+ years and he didn't give me more than a few sentences, didn't even review my family medical history with me (which includes major macular degeneration). In summary, the ladies selling the glasses are great but the physician is a waste of your time and money if you have any reasonable expectation of physician/patient interaction.

Doctor is incredibly rude. Acts like he couldn't care less about the patient's concerns. Office staff is rude as well. I'd give zero stars if I could.

Hmmm, reception not very friendly. I was waiting my turn another patient came in did the two receptionist talk smack about him yes!! Ok my turn comes up, no hi my name is... this is what we are doing. Acted like I was infringing on her day. No clue as to what she was doing. The Dr was nice enough but rushed through my exam. It lasted a whole 10 minutes. Sorry bunch of people!

Great customer service. Two out of three of our kids did not pack any eyewear on vacation - we stoped by with their prescriptions and they had new glasses ready for both of them in a few hours. They were also very reasonably priced. Great experience all around.

If there was a no star option I'd leave it. I took my 5 year old daughter here. She has strabismus. The Dr. lacked compassion and bed side manners. He casually proclaimed that she is blind in one eye, which she is not. He also casually said in front of my daughter that her only option for treatment is surgery... which terrified her. He was very cavalier in his speech on a condition he seemed to have little to no experience with. Potentially scared my daughter for life with optometrist visits.

I have interacted with the office staff 3 times and all 3 times were unpleasant. They were young and entitled, the type of people who use kind words, with demeaning tones and argumentative attitudes in an attempt to assert themselves over their customers. If your are the type to be pushed over, don't expect to be treated with any kind of respect by this staff. I had to be insistent just to get a copy of my prescription, after being mailed the wrong prescription by the staff. I highly recommend finding eye care elsewhere.

My 9 year old daughter went to this so called eye doctor. He was very unpleasant and seemed to be in a rush. Front desk needs to learn some manners and how to talk to patients. He prescribed my daughter a pair of glasses that made her almost trip vision was very blurry and made her dizzy. I took the glasses back and will never step foot in that place again...
