Virginia Eye Institute - Short Pump

To get appointments they schedule you at the earliest, usually a month from the day that you call them. With the humongous delays, they'll cancel your appointments without even giving you a call. So good luck if you ever get to see them! I sure as hell couldn't! Now whenever I call, I just get straight to voicemail. Even after waiting in a call queue, the answer and immediately send me to voicemail. This has got to be one of the worst doctor experiences I've ever had, and that's saying a lot from the vampires that they are.

I was happy with Dr. Marcus. She was professional and did all the tests required of her level of care. I didn't feel rushed but the system to move patients is steady in place. My child is a teen and She's our new *special eye dr

A wonderful facility. Appointments were easy to get and the staff was very kind. I always find I get great eye care. I had a very early morning appointment but I was still late being taken back to be seen. This really messed up my timetable for doing other scheduled errands. Make sure you understand how long you need to be there. I feel very confident in my doctor. I actually have more than one doctor who works for Virginia Eye Care and they are always amazing.

My son (3 year old) and us had a good experience with Dr. Marcus. We received 5 star treatment from the moment we walked in to the moment we left the door.

Unfortunately, like many others, my husband, toddler and I had a terrible experience with Dr. Marcus. Please make an appt with another pediatric ophthalmologist or practice altogether. I sought out Dr. Marcus for the appt specifically for my toddler's vision concerns due to her outstanding CV/accolades, but she was extremely rude and condescending to both my husband and me when we were simply asking questions as first-time parents and trying to provide her as much info as possible. She also didn't seem particularly gentle/great with children. Our experience was so bad, we're not returning to the practice.

Great Doctor (Kingsley) but the office staff is horrible. They are disorganized and my interactions were not pleasant to say the least. They blamed someone else for their knowledge deficits and later sent me a bill after claiming that they took my eye insurance. Save yourself many headaches and void them at all costs.

As well as others have experienced, our visit with Dr. Marcus for our 2.5 year old son was very unpleasant. It seemed very rushed and didn't give my wife and I any confidence in her decision for our son's best interest. The staff was nice and friendly but the experience with Dr. Marcus was bad enough for us to seek a second opinion elsewhere and not return to this location.

When I scheduled an appt, i was told as part of my insurance yearly check up is free of charge. On the day of appt, front desk mentioned that there will be $x towards Refraction charges. And now i received a bill for more than 3 times what i was told on the day of the visit. After calling them, i was re-routed to multiple depts, billing-->Scheduling-->Scheduling supervisor-->Billing supervisor. finally i was told that since you pre-diabetic, doctor looked at you and its billed differently hence the charge. This is total absurd, told me something on the day of scheduling an appt, told something different on the day of the appt and ended up with something else. I feel this as a big SCAM. They tell something and do something.
