I am 65 years old & have worn glasses since I was 5. For the 1st time in my life I can see 20/20. I am ecstatic! Thank you Dr. Chopra. My son has worn glasses since he was 9 months old. Getting him new glasses has been a nightmare for over 30 years. Again, Dr. Chopra worked his magic, and my son can see better than ever. I knew if Dr. Chopra could improve my son's vision he was the man for me. My hats off to you doctor. You deserve a standing ovation with much applause! Thank you!

I was not informed that my appointment got canceled, even after confirming it via text. Very unprofessional

Dr Chopra is excellent. Highly recommend to anyone with eyes! In all seriousness, my vision has been terrible all my life and Dr Chopra has helped me to adjust my prescription as needed and worked with me to try a lot of different contract lens brands. He has always gone above and beyond and spent a lot of exam time with me. My daughter and wife also see him, and also are very pleased.

Last year my daughter had an appointment scheduled for an eye exam. We arrived and the very nasty and rude receptionist (she is never nice to anyone) said oh your appointment was canceled. I said why and she said because you didn't confirm your appointment. I asked what she meant and she said when we called. I said the only two voice mails I received were recordings and just said this is your reminder of your appointment it never said I needed to call back or confirm or anything. She said oh well we can't see you. She continued to just say there was nothing that she could do and that I should have confirmed. I said how would I know I needed to confirm when all it said was this is the date and time of your appointment. She just rolled her eyes and said I can't help that. She has always been terribly rude and I overlooked it because Dr. Chopra was so friendly and nice, but this was it for me. We will never return. Maybe she is gone now, but just in case she is still there I wanted to warn others.

The receptionist, Lindsay, is extremely rude. My kids had their annual eye appointments but somehow I only confirmed one appointment and not the other. (One child was a text reminder and the other a call reminder). Due to this Lindsay stated, "It may be some time til the other is seen." When I asked how I could fix the notifications going forward to be received as text only I received attitude and was told, "I don't know. I don't have control over the program we use." Come to find out while sitting in the waiting area, they had double booked the time of my other child's appointment (the one who had to wait). It's not good practice to make a patient wait and blame it on the patient due to an error on the back office end of things. I believe Dr. Chopra is the only reason she still has a job.

Dr Chopra was fabulous! He was professional and kind. The prescription I received was the MOST accurate one I've ever gotten from an optometrist or ophthalmologist!

Dr Chopra is so friendly & personable. The office staff is also very friendly & they get you in & out in a very timely manner. I had gone to another place in town for a while, but came back to Lynchburg Vision Associates & will stick with them from now on!

CDC Health Violations and Dishonest Staff not wearing masks. Assistant got indignant when I asked why. "It is not required. " she stated. I replied that this is a medical office with close patient proximity and masks should be worn. I asked again if the entire staff was without masks or just her? Then she told a whopper of a lie. "It is a violation of HIPAA for you to ask me that." It simply is not and everyone has the right to ask why CDC Strongly Recommended Guidelines are not being followed, especially by anyone claiming to be medical professionals. I was deeply concerned and upon speaking with Dr. Chopra, who greeted us unmasked, I asked again. Why no masks? He explained that when he uses the eye exam apparatus it fogs up. I suggested he wear a mask for all other times and asked why his staff is maskless? "They sometimes use the equipment too." Another lie, and excuse for foolishness, careless behavior. Where is the code of medical professionalism? Thousands of optometrists offices have made their exams with masks on and without "fogging equipment" through simple changes. Many articles written on the subject. Not even difficult. No, this was about not caring. We left the office without an eye exam and will never return. Virginia Eye Clinic DOES require all staff to wear masks and is highly rated. 130,000+ Americans dead from COVID-19 and more everyday with cases on the rise again in Lynchburg, and this unprofessional and irresponsible office is playing political/ignorant games with your life. And that, sadly, is no lie.
