Had appt for elderly father set for months. Received request to confirm appointment after January 1st but nothing else disclosed. Upin arrival for January 20th appointment told no longer accepted dad's Medicare and stated must pat out if pocket. Declined. Their policy requires a credit/debit card on file. Inquired to my medicine being refilled and commented been waiting for months for response. I was informed someone would contact me. To date, no one has.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kaz for 2-3 years now. I have always felt that Dr. Kaz has been very thorough in providing the best care and treatment for my eyes. Her staff has always been helpful and friendly to me. Dr. Kaz manages a very efficient office and her patients are well cared for. As for masks, remember to bring one!

Dr. Kaz is wonderful. She may run longer sometimes, but that is because she is giving everyone her quality time. She does not rush a patient. She listens and goes over everything so that the patient understands her. I would highly recommend her to anyone. I've been seeing her for years and will continue to see her. For everyone complaining about being charged for a mask, they tell you ahead of time that you will need one, so I would not put blame on the staff. I've paid for one before because it was my fault that I forgot it.

This 1 is for the office staff who is very unprofessional. I had been there in 2023 and they did not push me to wear a mask.I made an appt for 2024 and they did indeed push this practice. Its ridiculous to begin with today.They tried to tell me it was because people have been coming in sick. Wow. Other doctors offices, general practitioners and others, post signs that say if you meet certain criteria than you must wear a mask in their office. I have asthma and will not wear a mask for an 1 1/2 hour appt. I honestly wouldn't do it anyway today because I don't feel like it is necessary. So when they tried to make me wear one for the 2024 appt I explained to her why I wouldn't do that and that I was leaving. I have since changed eye doctors. I went to TPMG who does not require this ridiculous practice today. Dr Kaz' office has been sending me bills for a $50 late cancellation/ no show fee. Neither of which apply in this case. They would not work with me on that fee. Its unfortunate because the doctor is professional and well informed for the most part but for some reason allows her office to continue enforcing a policy that is no longer necessary, as evidenced by the fact that most, if not all, Dr offices in this area no longer require this. I am very happy with my new eye doctor. I see here on Google reviews that this office has a lot of complaints against the staff for similiar attitudes and actions. I do hope in the future that Dr Kaz will review her staffs tactics and address the problem. She is losing a lot of patients due to their bad attitudes and unprofessional approach. I wish her the best for the most part but she needs to address these practices.

Dr Kaz's office is well ran and efficient! Sometimes the wait is a little long but that's because she gives every patient the care they deserve!! She also works patients in! Every specialist takes longer than your normal PCP! Her staff is knowledgeable and proficient! As for the people complaining about masks bring your own as well as if you're sick stay home! She is 6inches from your face and people are inconsiderate and show up while sick! Have common sense and stay home if you're sick unless you have an eye emergency!! Great staff and wonderful doctor!!

I feel that Dr. Kaz is a very good and knowledgeable doctor when it comes to your eyes. I do not feel she is a good judge of character or has any idea how badly her staff treats her patients. I have been in her office for vision visits 3 times and have never been comfortable. Her staff is cold, rude and made me feel uncomfortable as if I were a complete bother to them. I recently had a foreign body stuck in my eye and called 1st thing on a Monday morning trying to get in for help as it was very painful. I was told on my 1st call that they were seeing "after surgery" patients during that morning and would need to get with the Dr. to see when she could see me. I waited 4 hours and had not received a call back so I called them again. I was told very rudely that they already told me they would call me back when they could see me and I was basically hung up on. I call again at 3:30pm as I had still heard from no one and once again was treated rudely and told again they would call me back when they could fit me in. (I'm sorry there is something stuck in my eye and I need help!) The next morning I called another practice that was more than happy to get me in within 2 hours of my call and helped me in a kind and compassionate manner and got the foreign body out of my eye! Dr. Kaz's office called back finally on Tuesday mid-morning to let me know that they could see me on FRIDAY MORNING (really???). Obviously they have never had anything stuck in their eye. Needless to say, they have lost my business. Absolutely no compassion or caring comes from anyone in this practice. Very disappointing to say the least.

My last visit was a little longer than previous visits, but I feel that Dr. Kaz and her staff are very thorough. I did not find them condescending or rude...actually quite the opposite. Dr. Kaz and her assistants have always been friendly on my visits. They do still wear masks here so if you have an issue with that, this isn't the place for you. It doesn't bother me.

BUYER BEWARE!!! This doctor will rip you off! I was suffering from Blepharitis and she suggested a $200 remedy that insurance would not cover (RED FLAG). Well, it was absolutely worthless...it did NOTHING to alleviate my condition. I started reading about my condition and was able to resolve it on my own. Also, the bill was more than $200 since I also had to pay the credit card fee - she passes along all those credit card fees to the customer! I since started seeing another ophthalmologist. They do no kind of 'remedy' that she does. They also gave me great advice for my condition that she did not. Hampton Roads Eye Associates are wonderful!
