I cannot express enough gratitude for Dr. Erickson and his remarkable team following my eye surgery on November 12, 2025. As someone who has never undergone anesthesia before, I walked into the surgery feeling extremely nervous, especially being a type 1 diabetic and a single father of two young sons. The fear of my blood sugar levels dropping during the procedure added an overwhelming layer of anxiety. From the moment I arrived, the professionalism and kindness of the entire staff instantly put me at ease. Dr. Erickson was exceptionally reassuring, taking the time to explain every step of the process. His approach was not only professional but also thoughtful, making me feel valued and understood. The anesthesiologist did an outstanding job of breaking down the procedure in a way I could easily grasp, further alleviating my fears. I was particularly touched by the support of two assistants who are also type 1 diabetics, which highlighted the compassionate atmosphere of the team. One young lady, whose name I regretfully cannot remember, went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. Her empathy and encouragement were invaluable during a time when I truly needed it. Thanks to the attentiveness of Dr. Erickson and his entire team, my surgery went smoothly, and my anxiety was greatly diminished. I would highly recommend this team to anyone in need of eye care. They not only provide excellent medical support but also foster a nurturing environment, which made all the difference for me. I had a swelling burning and red eye went there because somebody highly recommended them. I had a great experience the first time that I went there second time because they had me come back in 10 days to recheck my eye I could've canceled if my eye wasn't swollen or runny or anything like that, but it still was so I went back for my second schedule appointment the first time they had me sign a paper saying that that if I wanted an eye exam, it would cost $40. I told him no I don't want it. The second time I went there. They didn't ask me that the doctor was just checking my eyes have me look through a machine. it's called refraction he didn't ask me if I wanted one. They charged me $40 just for three times checking in each eye that I did not approve of. I thought he was checking it due to to see if there was something inside my eye, but they charged me the $40 which the first time I refuse that $40 and this time they didn't tell me about it and I thought he was just checking my eye and they charged me $40 for it. I think this is the most asinine thing they could've ever done so if they had a bad review for like less than doing one star I would've done a half a star, but they have only a one star so that's the only reason I put a one star on there, I would not recommend them to anybody then I had somebody from their company call saying that I was cussing using really foul words. The only word I use was bullshit. That is not a big word. I was frustrated but now they're saying that I used other words than that. they also said I was taking videos and pictures of everything that is the biggest lie there is.

I have been seeing Dr. KITAY for over 25 years. He has saved my eyesight many times. He along with his staff are exceptional. I love them like they are family! I highly recommend this office. He is a Top Doc! They are professional, caring, kind, and just good people

Everyone at this clinic was super nice, but they weren't upfront about not being able to do contact lens prescriptions. If you're a contact wearer, don't waste your time and book with another clinic, especially if you're going to wait 6+ months for an appointment.

The Hampton road eye association are very perfect place to go get your eyes check to go get you glasses and your lenses they are very clean they are very professional and they all have very good personalities every last one up including the secretaries All of them have perfect perfect perfect personality and they are very well respectful. I love going to the Hampton road eye association every month out of a year since I've been going there for the last past three maybe four years now that I've been with the Hampton they are the best people that you want to go and get your eyes checked but you need to check your insurance network because some of them people they don't take but they are very good and they are very kind people with good hearts

I would like to acknowledge an outstanding associate/technician, Erica Cabrera in the Optical Shop. The care and time she devotes to her clients consistently goes above and beyond expectations. My husband and I have been seeing Erica for many years to have our eyeglass prescriptions filled, and each visit reaffirms the high level of professionalism and dedication she brings to her work. She takes the time to truly understand our needs and always directs us in the right direction. What sets Erica apart is her thoroughness and patience--she carefully explains every detail about our prescriptions and ensures we fully understand our insurance coverage. This level of service makes the entire experience seamless and reassuring. Erica Cabrera is truly an asset to the Riverside Healthcare System, and we are grateful for her continued commitment to excellence.

This is a very very busy business. However making an appointment and getting in close to your appointment time usually happens. I had sudden and unexpected issues with my eye. That the previous eye Doctor didn't even address. I got really good care at Hampton roads And I would recommend it to everyone. My Diagnosis seemed to be accurate. My doctor was understanding and Compassionate.

My recent experience with the Optical Shop at the Oyster Point HREA was wonderful. Tracy, the associate who assisted me, went over and above to ensure frames I was uncertain about were exactly what I wanted. Her friendliness, knowledge, and professionalism made me a fan and I will definitely be back!
