Everyone that I've dealt with at Tidewater Eye Center have been amazing. They've been considerate patient and informative. Very professional. A's for Dr Rappaport. I don't want to swell his head but the man has magic in his hands. I told the doctor that I feel like I can see three days into next week. I've never seen this well before in my life. Dr Rappaport and the people at Tidewater Eye center have given me the gift of sight. And I thank you all.

I am pleased with the services received from my provider. Last time there I was told that they can write me an eyeglass prescription so this visit I requested one. Well I wasn't told I'd be charged $60 for a refraction to check for glasses. Had I known that I would have gotten the prescription from the optometrist under my vision plan. To top that off the prescription did not list the PD for the glasses so I had to email them and ask for it to order the glasses. Still waiting for that info, but otherwise my Dr is great and this part had no bearing on his services,

I really do not like going to this office. The staff was very rude, and I wasn't seen until over an hour after my appointment time. The whole process took 2 hours and out of the 6-8 people I interacted with only one of them was nice at all.

About Leonard Rappaport, MD

Dr. Rappaport joined Tidewater Eye Centers in 1999, as a Glaucoma Specialist, after being in private practice for 5 years with Southeastern Eye Center in North Carolina. He is subspecialty trained in the treatment of glaucoma, including the use of lasers, drainage devices and antimetabolites in surgery. Dr. Rappaport lectures at state meetings as well as internationally on the new advancements in the treatment of glaucoma. He is currently on staff at Maryview Medical Center and Harborview Medical Center. Dr. Rappaport also has extensive experience in the latest technologies for small incision, no stitch cataract surgery, using Toric and Multifocal intraocular lenses. He also is experienced in performing laser vision correction surgeries.
