Drs Jessup & Stewart Optometry

Pleasant experience! I made the mistake of not wearing my glasses as intended in the past which affected my vision and made my eye exam tedious. They were very patient and listened to my concerns. I was finally able to get diagnosed with astigmatism after 11 years. Highly recommended

Dr. Jessup and Dr. Stewart are the kindest and most professional optometrist I've ever met. They treat their patients very well and want to get to know them. They explain everything in a manner that make sense and go above and beyond for their patients.Their office staff is wonderful and fun as well. Can't say enough great things about these people, just flat out the best! I'd highly highly recommend them!

Honestly one of the best optometry facilities I've been to in the last 20 years! I was impressed by the huge comfortable waiting area , although I didn't get to enjoy that very long as they had me back right away. Industry leading equipment that I had never seen before , not using the same old tech everyone else is still using from the 90s. And the Doctor always come out front to say hello to me before I see her. She's very knowledgeable and they had my script dialed in . My last optometrist was wayyyyy off and I can see much better now ! Highly Recommended!!!

What can I say: Dr. Jessup is just excellent (period). His staff are equally excellent in their customer interactions. Frankly, this was (is) the best optometry examination I have ever experienced. Firstly, Dr. Jessup is thorough, he's patient, most professional, and handsome to boot. Secondly, he is receptive to all questions. Thirdly, he answers these questions honestly. Unfortunately, some doctors are not able/willing to do the same. These lacking doctors are "nice" people, however, they fail (miserably) the task of simply talking, frankly with their patients. Lastly, Dr. Jessup doesn't treat (or talk to) the paying customer as a child. He imparts (personal) complex medical information in a patient-friendly manner that facilitates patient understanding of the same. Note, this is a skill not taught in medical schools, and is sorely lacking in many of our doctors. I live in beautiful Virginia now but am from the Buckeye state of Ohio. Due to a medical condition I have undergone many optometry and ophthalmology examinations here in Virginia. Dr. Jessup's bed-side manner and examination was by far the best. I moved here from Staunton several years ago and had been going back there to the optometrist. I decided to find one here and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I absolutely adored Dr Stewart and the gentleman that helped me pick out my glasses was very knowledgeable and helpful, as well as a hoot! I highly recommend this practice!!

I really like the eye doctor Angela Stewart. I did not like what seemed to be high pressured sales tactics. I was looking at the frames for glasses and the guy followed you around instead of letting you just look freely and choose a frame and let him know when you were ready. It made you feel rushed to make a decision. Not a lot of choices. Especially in the range that most insurances allowances are. I asked for a copy of my prescription for my contacts and they insisted they could match the same deal could get online and they could not. The person at the desk finally gave me my prescription. I did however order my glasses from them and am happy with that selection-rushed as it was. I would like to use Angela Stewart again she is wonderful and also her assistant, he was great too. The ladies that greet you at the front desk when you come are very warm and friendly.

Dr. Jessup is wonderful. You are never just a number there. He took the time to figure out why I was having issues with my vision and didnt just put me in some expensive glasses. He caught a problem no other optometrist had before him. He had a simple solution that has resolved my vision issues that were causing me headaches and fatigue. On top of being very good at what he does, he's very personable, kind and down to earth. You won't regret going to him for your vision needs.
