Johnson Curran Optometry Centers

My recent visit to Johnson Curran was a great experience. I showed up on time and they saw me on time. I was able to pick out frames and the entire process was very simple and easy. I highly recommend.

I had been a patient of Dr Johnson's (the male Johnson) for years. And the past two times I made an appt SPECIFICALLY with him (because no other Dr gets my prescription right), they pass me on to some new Dr that I don't know. This time I cancelled the appt and not going back. I waited two months to see Dr Johnson and they gave me someone else without asking me. It's not right!

I can't say enough good things about Ashley and the staff and the way they run the office. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the positive energy and professionalism that they bring to the entire space. Ashley was incredibly organized and always seemed to be one step ahead--whether it's managing scheduling issues, answering insurance questions, or just making sure I felt comfortable and informed. You can tell she genuinely cares about every person who walks through the door. What stands out the most is how approachable and kind she was. No matter how busy the day was , she took the time to listen, solve problems, and make sure everything ran smoothly for me. It's clear that the office wouldn't be the same without her. I will give 2 stars because I moved here in 2023, which at that time must have had a different crew working because they were more than accommodating. Fast forward to 2025 when I went back and got glasses. Upon leaving I paid X amount (splitting the bill in half). Was given a paper showing what I paid and what I will pay when I pick up the glasses. When going to pick them up was told a different amount. I questioned it and the female at the desk couldn't give an answer. Someone else (who I had witnessed be a little aggressive to the other workers / customers) came over without being asking, to explain to me why. Her explanation was that insurance changes things and doesn't tell us. That is the biggest load of crap I have ever heard. I have worked around insurances and they DO make changes to what is covered but they call either the patient or the facility so they can inform the patient. I was NEVER contacted, was just a surprise when I picked up the glasses. Absolutely worst experience ever and will not be returning. Maybe their competition will treat their customers nicely and be more informative.

Wow the customer service needs to be better. The lack of personality and overall caring of the patient calling was not there....

Made an appointment to get glasses with this company. When I first brought them home, the lens kept falling out. They acted like they didn't want to fix them then. Now the arms just broke off after having them for 2 and 1/2 months, and they say the warranty is out! I wouldn't go back to this company if you paid me!

More staff than customers in the store and they still manage to keep me waiting for 5+ minutes. The $500+ computer glasses I got aren't helpful, bottom half of my screen looks fuzzy unless I tilt the laptop screen 45 degrees forward. Can't recommend.

Always a great experience every year i go! Went to the Ffankin Road location for an emergency appointment and let's just say I won't ever be returning! The staff is nothing like Valley View. They are very warm welcoming and so helpful!
