I visited the Hilltop, Virginia Beach, Va branch of America's best today. My experience was very pleasant from the moment I entered to the my exit. Every worker, from reception to the checkout was helpful, polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Ms. Barbara the tech did a great job informing me of what each eye exam/test was for. Dr Gdovin was personable and informative. I failed to get the young lady's name that checked me in and out but they were both just great. Wonderful experience and I will refer others.

Dr. Gdovin was very off-putting when I tried to discuss the symptoms I was experiencing. She repeatedly talked over me and dismissed what I was saying. She also attributed my concerns to the brand of contact lenses I wear, which had nothing to do with the symptoms I described. Based on my experience, I would not recommend seeing this doctor. If you are a veteran, I would especially avoid seeing this doctor if you want your concerns properly documented and addressed.
Otherwise, the rest of the staff was very kind and professional, especially Taliah and Barbara.

Dr. Gdovia saw me right away and I was in and out very fast.
The tech, Ms. Barbara, was also fantastic. Very friendly, went through the tests incredibly fast and I left with a smile. Honestly she was a pleasant person to be around and it was one of the most pleasant exams I've had. Would highly recommend.

I had a wonderful experience with every employee I encountered. They each were inviting, humorous, and knowledgeable. This was my first ever virtual eye exam and I'm certain... the way of the future. It took a bit longer than expected however, I was not in any rush. Thanks guys!

Showed up thinking I'd see a regular doctor--surprise, it's a "digital doctor." Handed over my insurance card and got a quick "We don't take it" with no options or explanation. Thanks for the warm welcome, I'll be sure to schedule my next appointment... literally anywhere else.

This place lied to us about insurance..
So basically over the phone they said they accepted my insurance when we got there they said they didn't accept it and made us pay 65 dollars for exams now keep in mind three of us did exams so it was 195 plus taxes we will NEVER be coming back don't go if you have VSP or medicaid!
