Beware: Up codes insurance for produres-- greed. I had 5 minute botox injections around eyes for eyelid spasms in office seat. They coded insurance to an surgical procedure of thousands $$$$ and I was responsible for unreasonable 20% copay. Year later I visit again for same issue OF eyes staying closed. Doctor refused giving botox until previous overcharged bill is paid. Could not tell me what I own. Gave me a credit collection business card. Not compatient to matter botox helps me see. God has His vengeance to rich and greedy. I will continue to suffer... BEWARE: REQUEST PRE INSUANCE CODING BEFORE ANY PROCDURE TO PROTECT AGAINST UPCODING. SINCE THEY ARE AN EYE SURICAL FACILITY THEY CAN UP CODE AND GET BY WITH IT. Lord have mercy on the needy.

I am very disappointed in the way I was treated at the Great Neck location. The staff were very pleasant. I saw Dr Zahn for a procedure in which the office failed to get an approval for prior to my appointment. After sitting in a waiting area for over 30 minutes, a staff member came and applied numbing drops in my eye said the doctor will see me in about 20 minutes. A staff member called me to the office to request a co-payment and said the total amount was due today . No payment arrangements...no partial payment. I felt that should have taken place prior to me being numbed. Needless to say I didn't have the procedure done and left the office numb ...Poor customer service.

I never got my copay bill in the mail, so I've been trying to call and call and call this location to pay a bill and couldn't get through to anyone. Eventually someone answers the phone, finally, had to go through the appointment scheduling department to get ahold of a person and they transferred me to the billing department which I've been trying to call. Long behold, to find out the billing department is located in the Philippines! No wonder why i could never get ahold of anyone to pay my copay, I hung up after finding this out, absolutely not giving my bank info out over the phone to a foreign country. Why is this place outsourcing usa jobs to another country? Bad practice.

I had PRK eye surgery with Dr. Kurz and now I feel well enough to review after a week has gone by. I had a great experience with Dr. Kurz and his team for my PRK eye surgery. My vision before the surgery was a -9 and now I'm at 20/25 and it will continue to improve. Dr. Kurz has a great "bedside manner" which helped me because I was terrified of the surgery, but I knew it would be a great thing for me to do. Dr. Kurz did my consult, prk surgery and my 5 day post op appt and I can't say enough good things about him and his team. Dr. Alleman (Norfolk 241 location) did my day 1 post op check up and she was great as well!

Great service. No one was in a hurry to get me out the door quickly. Took the time to explain things to me and answer any questions. Thank you

My optician referred me to Virginia eye consultants, because the pressure in my eyes was higher than it should be. I had my appointment today and I was so impressed. Everyone was extremely professional and I had so many tests done. It was amazing. It turns out I will need to take eyedrops to help lower the pressure. Everything was explained very thoroughly and in easy to understand language. I highly recommend this practice.

I would like to give a very special thanks to Dr Pittman, as well as Crystal, Christine, and Megan at the front desk, and Dr Pittman's entire staff. This is a great establishment, and I would recommend it to family and friends and anyone looking for professional eye services. They are very people friendly and also make you feel right at home.

I have been assisting my 75 yr. old mother with this cataract surgery & have been thoroughly discouraged with the entire process. The consultation process was all about the $. It seems they prioritize securing payment above all else, even the patients' well-being. I understand that it is a business, but the hard sell approach, attempts at upselling & veracity of securing payment are reminiscent of the time-share industry. It is clear that the patient's experience and satisfaction are not where their focus lies. The surgery center visit was akin to being treated like cattle. They communicate clearly & repeatedly concerning payment, but do not concerning treatment. Rescheduled procedure at last second because of their mistake & was only informed the night before because I called to verify. Otherwise, we would not have known until we got there. My mother was taken very late. Upon release, I was informed that "There was a complication. She's fine, but that's why it took so long. " The doctor never spoke with me. The only information I got was from the nurse (who just repeated boilerplate info about not gardening, swimming, etc.) & my 75 yr. old mother coming out of recovery. The next morning follow-up visit to check on capsular retention ring "complication", she was in intense pain. Was told (by my mother b/c again, no one spoke to me) 3 prescriptions were called in, yet again more drops, something for pain & something for sleep. Only drops were called in. Called the number for doctor's office to report symptoms, i.e. severe pain, etc. It is just a call center that could not get anyone to answer the phone at the doctors office. This occurred @ 11 a.m. I am now in an Uber with my mother on the way to Urgent Care b/c I am too furious to drive. They can't even answer the phone. Why would the contact number for emergencies be to a call center that can't even contact the doctor? If you want professionals that actually care about people & act accordingly, DO NOT USE CVP. I will definitely be getting mine done at a different practice!
