Allegany Optical

This is a poor excuse for an eyeglass business. Waited a month for glasses to come in, called today told they are here came in yesterday get there was told still on order asked to speak to someone else mysteriously they were there. Glasses handed to me with nose pads all bent every which way, used her fingers to bend them. When I put them on so blurry couldn't see. Was told the prescription was what Dr inputted, told her they aren't right I can't see. She says well we have to schedule aappointment. appointment.

Went to Allegheny optical for the first time about a month and a half ago. Bought a pair of safety glasses, a spare pair of glasses, and replacement lenses for existing frames. Safety glasses came in quick (no issues), spare glasses were back ordered and after almost a month of waiting decided to cancel the order, Never got the full amount of money back that was paid for the spare glasses even after explaining that the spare pair was never received. Replacement lenses were put into frames backwards, so another trip to the store was required. (And I understand mistakes happen, so obviously that's forgivable) Eye doctors are very decent, glasses selection is average. Communication, and refund policy wasn't at all what was expected.

I scheduled a appointment for my niece for contact lenses the optometrist was professional, but then I had to schedule a 2nd appt to come back to get the trial pair, because the person who does the trials was on vacation!! Then come back for a 3rd time a week later to have them checked. We ordered the contacts and when they arrived (by mail) they are the wrong. I call and now I have to go there again a 4th time in a week to return these and get correct ones. I think 4 visits for one set of contacts is ridiculous! Next time I will go someplace they respect my time!!!

Won't come here again. Worst service. Made appointment to be told that me and the person I was with also had an appointment and they said that they were booked and I had to wait til March because my appointments were video which makes no sense cause a Dr can't check your eyes through video. Person at front Desk looked like she didn't want to be there and rude and manager was no better. In the mean time they flood our phones with messages that we are due for appointments and I asked to unsuscribe and she said she did and I'm still getting messages. Done with this place.

I have been going to Allegany for quit some time. Always had a spectacular visit ect... Staff was wonderful and all that Jazz. So, I hadn't been in a few years, and was unaware that Allegany had become My Eye Dr. I was a bit weary, I tend to not care for the unknown, but they put all my anxiety to rest. I enjoy going i. And cutting up with the staff. Absolutely wonderful team. They are the best! Keep at the great work guys and gals!

I am so very thankful for Dr. Luthman and his team at MyEyeDr in Winchester, VA. I was determined to wear contacts after years and years of glasses. It was rough the first week trying to get my contacts in and out. I went back for my one week follow-up. I was really disappointed because I thought for sure I was going to be stuck wearing glasses forever. I explained my concerns and the issues I had the whole week to Dr. Luthman. Without hesitation he rechecked my vision to make sure a mistake hadn't been made. Then he had me try a different brand of contacts and the difference was amazing! Dr. Luthman was patient with my frustrations. He listened to every word and had a solution for me without a second thought. After the new contacts were in he rechecked my vision again just make sure they were comfortable for me. Overall very impressed with Dr. Luthman's dedication to his patients. And a very special thank you to the optic assistant who patiently taught me all the basics of a first time contact wearer. She remand calm (lol) and showed me all these little tricks for getting them in and out. The whole team is great!! Thank you for making my visits worth it! You are all great!!

Made an appointment for a Wednesday, I arrive and they tell me I'm two days early but they will sqeeze me in, which is a plus. This isn't the first incident I have had qith My Eye Dr but it will be the last. I will be finding a new optometrist.

The doctor was great and it was my first time getting an eye exam since I was a child being37 now and needing glasses I wasn't happy but he made me feel at ease plus my glasses were ready3days early ...thanks guys!!!
