I've always loved Dr Simmers practice, but I attempted to make an appointment for a routine eye exam in the new year (2026) and was told they are booked up until FEBRUARY 2027! I've been a patient with Dr Simmers for 30 years and never experienced anything like this. I understand the Dr is splitting his time between two practices in two counties, but if doing so is spreading his services so thin that it's becoming detrimental to his current patients' needs, it may be time to rethink this work practice or hire an extra optometrist or two to help with the patient load.

My entire family - parents, siblings, spouses, children - use to go to Dr. Simmers. After repeated HORRIBLE experiences with the woman who "helps" with frames, NONE OF US will ever go back. She is INCREDIBLY rude to everyone, even the poor UPS driver who delivers/picks up packages to the office.
I do not understand allowing someone with ZERO people skills to interact with patients.
