My family and I are going to this place for last 25 years, always had positive and pleasant experience. Dr Kwong is amazing and always goes above and beyond. I have had the same positive experience with the front desk staff, especially Lori and Tammy. When my contact lenses power changed a few months after I bought whole year supply, they gave me new trial lenses and reached out to the manufacture to get my old contacts replaced. One of the best customer service I ever experienced.
I've been going here for my general eye checkups, and the doctor has always been excellent--professional, thorough, and genuinely caring. I really appreciate the quality of care on the medical side.
However, based on my personal experience, I would not recommend their eyeglasses services. The staff handling the glasses didn't seem very knowledgeable, and the service felt disorganized. My glasses often didn't fit properly, and I felt I was being overcharged. Overall, the front desk and eyeglass department gave me the impression that they were more focused on sales than on customer satisfaction.
Great doctor, but I'd suggest getting your glasses elsewhere.
I had an extremely positive experience this morning at Bellevue Eyecare Center during my eye exam with Dr. Susan Kwong. The doctor is knowledgeable and very patient, kind, and respectful. I am a nervous patient, but the doctor made the exam feel relaxing! I highly recommend Dr. Kwong for those seeking an exceptional optometry provider, and especially for patients who have a fear of going into eye exams.
Poor experience. Purchased the extra warranty and had the glasses break, but didn't bring them in fast enough (my fault for delaying and not checking the warranty). The policy was firm, it was past the date. No discount on anything. Options were full retail for glasses with my benefit (needed to get contacts so couldn't do that) or pay higher costs than my insurance paid for new frames. I was told to wait for 20 minutes to see what they could do and felt a bit insulted with their stance after waiting. They could have at least sold me the frames at the original costs or maybe discounted me the cost of the warranty. I realize this isn't part of the legal contract with the EyeCare center and I was hoping for some help after my daughter broke her glasses. I'll look to take my business somewhere with a bit more partnership with their customers and consider long term value, especially with kids glasses.
I also checked, the frames I was sold for $140, are $40 brand new from walmart. Wow. Wish I had done my research.
I've been coming to the eye care center for almost 30 years and have always had reliable and consistent care! Now my children come here :)
We have been going to the Eye care center for many years. When we first started going it was an easy process and great for the whole family. We love Dr. Jones, year after year we noticed the prices going up and the quality of customer service going down. This year I was told my family of 4 couldn't all be seen in the same day as we typically do as we don't want to take off serval days of work for an eye apt that we all need. So we are no longer going to use this provider and shop elsewhere. I will also note their prices for glasses are insanely high here, I'd skip buying glasses here and take your prescription to Costco for frame/lens.
We are from out of state and we came for a trip to Seattle. My little brother wears dream lens, which requires a plunger to pull the lens out. Our family forgot it at home, and so we spent all morning scrambling for a place where they had those plungers. Soon, we finally found this office. The lady at the front desk was so nice and they gave us the plunger free of cost. To the front desk lady: thank you so much for helping my brother!
Feeling so humiliated, and angry now. I cannot image any front desk service as bad and condescending as this.
The two front desk ladies were beyond rude. For a full 15 minutes, I was treated with such disrespectful attitude, no explanation about what I was being charged for (handling me the pos machine with $800 for full year contacts without asking me a single word on my needs), and zero help at all. When I asked if my contact lens brand came in smaller packs, one of them snapped at me, said no, and rolled her eyes at me. The other lady slapped the pos machine on the desk when I asked her to help me check if I was charged for contacts fitting last year. Seriously?
Right after, I saw them being super polite and patient with another customer (a white lady), explaining her charges in detail and even going over payment plans. So yeah, even more personal and incredibly unfair.
I left feeling so painful and frustrated. No one should be treated like that. Shame on you.
