Costco Optical Department

I was a little nervous going here for the first time because I saw some other Costco Optical reviews that were less-than-stellar, but I had a wonderful experience here! All the staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. Jerry Tom was my optometrist, and he was excellent! Very thorough, very kind, very knowledgeable. Pricing was good as well, it was exactly $135 for a full exam with contacts. Also, it's convenient to be able to go right outside their office and then order your contacts/glasses from Costco (where pricing is also good!) Thank you guys so much, keep up the great work!

Used to be my place to get contacts but the past two years I cannot see. The lenses are too strong and after several corrections they just couldn't get it right. I basically wasted 200 on lenses and had to go back to wearing glasses. I will seek another optometrist and spend another $400 to be able to wear contacts again.

Fine for a simple exam but not very helpful. Dr Tom is kind of a jerk. Waste of $100. Go to someone else if you come here.

I've been coming to this location for several years to order my contacts as they have the best prices around. I went tonight to order glasses from them for the first time, and I had an absolutely stellar experience with Keri. She had trouble at first accessing my vision insurance, but she was so kind, patient and helpful. She helped me call VSP and she talked to them to get the information needed. After all was said and done, her help saved me half the price of my glasses, and she even gave me advice to make sure I can access my insurance easier next time. Thank you, Keri and Costco Optical for your excellent customer service!

Dr. Dale Rahn is absolutely amazing. Me and my family have been going to him for well over 20 years. He's very knowledgeable, caring & friendly. I would highly recommend him and I will continue to use him without a doubt. Thank you Dr. Rahn for being the BEST!

I have to say I was a little worried when I read the reviews but I needed an eye exam so I went to Costco anyway. My visit was with Dr.Thompson and I can't say enough nice things about her. She did a very thorough exam and also listened to my concerns about my eye health and went over everything in detail with me. She was friendly, informative and easy to talk to.

Brittany rocs!!! Amy was also impressively professional and nice. Unfortunately some others are not service oriented, and perhaps not friendly to Asians. A young guy with tattoos was unhelpful even to make basic adjustments of the ear and nose pieces when I picked up new glasses. I asked twice for correction and he did a sullen, inept job both times. I had to come back and see another optician days later due to eyestrain. Weeks later, another young female Costco optician with tattoos and colored hair took my son through a Transitions color selection when we elected for Transitions - and then did not include it in the order?! I cannot help but wonder if this was malicious....

Simply the best! This was my first visit to a Costco vision center. The staff was great all around. Dr. Rahn was so kind and thorough, I was really happy all around with the experience. I don't have insurance coverage and was extremely happy with my overall cost which covered the exam and 2 new pairs of glasses! Would def recommend
