I had a scary problem during covid lock-down in 2020, and no one else would even open up. Mike saw me, fixed my issue and I have been a client ever since. I love the personal and casual atmosphere, he knows what he is doing, and discusses costs and what insurance will or won't pay for in advance. No surprises. Could not be happier.

I called to set up appointments for both my daughter and myself. I was given a date and time for later in the week. I rearranged schedules of my kids and myself to make this work as well as my husband took work off for the day to care for our youngest 3 children. Upon arriving the receptionist told me she remembered making the appointment but she actually told me the wrong date. She went in the back and spoke with the doctor about the "mix up". He walked out shortly after with another patient but did not acknowledge me or the situation. The receptionist let me know if I came back in an hour I could be seen. 15 minutes later the receptionist called & said only one of us could be seen. Needless to say we will not be back. I should have listened to the Google reviews to see how this establishment is run.

Made appointment after verifying they took my insurance, waited a week. Filled paperwork out at a very outdated run down office. Got into the chair just in time to be told they don't actually take my insurance. Wasted time and gas. Please stay far away from this headache. They don't know up from down and the equipment is ancient at best. Lynden vision plus is definitely worth the wait and booked for a reason

Mr Michael Hovander is extremely rude, felt rushed like I was bothering him, and he smells like cigarettes. Bad experience 1 star is to much

I have gone to Ferndale Vision Source for several years, always had good service, and think the office help is good. I go once a year for diabetes check up on my eyes, and have great glasses I really like! Plan on using them for a long time.

I would give this guy a zero if I could. Just bad experiences over and over. Hostile and not kind or helpful. Look elsewhere! Staff is constantly rotating for a reason.
