This place just might try to scam you!!!
My family and I moved here in 2024, needed our annual eye exam that same year, and found that Rouse was covered under our insurance, had appointments available and great reviews. The eye exams itself went ok but it did seem as if they were trying to trap me into buying glasses from them. Also, the Dr does try to play on your emotions and fear after offering an eye service that my insurance doesn't cover. He told me that I had pressure and bleeding behind my eye and because the other eye service is more advanced, he'll be able to tell me what's causing my issue. I declined and got a referral to see an optometrist with the same tech for no extra cost. Well, thankfully, my eyes are perfectly healthy. The optometrist even questioned me after the exam about who and which office gave me this misinformation. I felt a little embarrassed that I wasted both of our time. So, my husband and I decided to not return the following year.
To our surprise, we received a bill in the mail from Rouse, for an exam in 2025, in my husband's name. It's not much, but not our responsibility to pay. I contacted Rouse EyeCare over the phone, that there was a mistake made with billing. They told me that it was a mixup with another patient with the same name as my husband and that they corrected the mistake. But, a couple months later, we received the same bill again. My husband went to their office and personally got it corrected and was assured that him and the rest of the family info was out of their system. But, we still continue to get emails, mail, phone calls and BILL from them til this day.
I was showing grace by not leaving a negative review but trying to force a family of 7 to pay a bill that they know is not responsible for, is a form of incompetence and needs to be called out.

Very disappointed in the care I received. Went in for an eye health check on medication that can cause blindness. Visual Fields showed vision loss. I was sen for a MRI to rule out tumors etc. I was given a RX before I left the office but decided not to purchase at the office. My Specialist recommended I see an ophthalmologist . Found out I had rather significant cataracts. His words. I feel Rouse eye care was more concerned with making a sale now that they are owned by a corporation then me the patient.
They left a message on here for me to contact them so they can make it better. . What can they do? My insurance Co has already paid them. I did not write the review for some sort of compensation. I want the public to beware of what type of business they run.
My first impression of Rouse Eye Care Center was very good. Every interaction I had, from the friendly ladies at the reception desk throughout my visit and ending with Mia helping me pick out glasses was positive. Dr. Rouse was courteous and professional and seemed very knowledgeable in his field. On another note, I felt that they had a pretty good selection of glasses to choose from. Mia asked my preferences, and to my joy pulled out a pair of glasses that were exactly what I was looking for! I'm looking forward to them coming in so that I can wear them. I will be going back for my next eye exam when it is due.
Update after 3 weeks: I sent an email based on the owner's comment but haven't received a response. I also followed up with a phone call, but no one has returned it yet.

My experience here was extremely disappointing. The staff repeatedly persuaded me to undergo multiple exams, assuring me they were covered by insurance. Later, they completely denied what they had said and sent me a large bill after my insurance refused payment.
This clinic is not honest or professional. They focus on surface-level exams without delivering thorough or quality care. Communication is misleading, and billing practices are unfair.
If you want to avoid surprise bills and a frustrating experience, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. This was a terrible experience, and I wouldn't want others to go through the same thing.
My experience with Rouse Eye Care Center has been terrible, starting with my very first visit in 2024. I was told I had mites on my eyelashes and needed a special prescription drop to control it. The drops were only available through a pharmacy they partner with, and my copay was over $700, which I declined due to the cost. Later, I learned that everyone naturally has eyelash mites and that it's completely normal.
I also ordered glasses during that visit, which took six months to arrive. I called multiple times for updates and was made to feel like I was the problem. Thankfully, one staff member, Mia, stepped in and resolved the issue quickly and respectfully.
Because of her professionalism, I decided to give them another chance and returned for my 2025 exam, which was a big mistake. Dr. Rouse was condescending and dismissive. The office tech conducting most of the exam was robotic and unfriendly. When I asked Dr. Rouse about the health of my eyes, he responded curtly and never actually answered my questions.
What bothered me most was when Dr. Rouse suggested that if I were "trimmer" and exercised more, my vision might improve. I found this comment inappropriate and body-shaming, and I know of no scientific basis for weight affecting vision in that way.
The only positive experience I've had there has been with Mia, who treated me with kindness and respect. Unfortunately, that's not enough to bring me back.
The individualized attention provided by the staff and the overall experience. The office feels less crowded than larger chain providers, which allows for a more relaxed visit, and they offer a broader and more thoughtfully curated selection of frames.
Great doctor, opticians and staff. Moved from Texas and had my first eye/contact lens exam with Dr. rouse. Happy I found this team - they were able to fit me with comfortable lenses and they have a nice selection designer frames. Scheduling is easy and quick
I have been going to the Rouse EyeCare Center for the last seven+ years. I always receive exceptional, professional service. The front desk staff are warm and welcoming. The clinical staff are kind and efficient.
Dr. Rouse provides the most thorough eye exams I have ever received. His warm manor and clear commitment to quality eye care is hard to miss. He consistently takes the time to explain my test results and discuss my current ocular and visual health.
Mia, their eyewear specialist is always spectacular in helping me find glasses that are both complimentary and functional. I plan to remain a patient of Rouse EyeCare for all the reasons I mentioned above.
