I LOVE coming to Americas Best in Lakewood. They are always so friendly and super welcoming. Amika and Rowena are amazing. They are super sweet and always go above and beyond to help their customers. I myself work in customer service and commend them and the entire team for their hard work and dedication to their customers.

We love our glasses and its really good it helps a lot it makes difference from my previous glasses we love the service the staff are friendly and accomodating

I had a confirmed appointment at this location today. It was my first time at this location and I thought from some of the reviews that it might be decent. I was wrong! There was only gawking, without a greeting of any kind. I was literally judged as soon as I walked in. Biasly and unprofessionally by the female employee with glasses and an English accent. She was rude, dismissive, condescending, combative, and ignorant. My appointment and insurance information had already been confirmed 2 days prior, so I didn't think I'd have any issues. What a vile person and experience.

Great selection of eyeglasses and sunglasses. The staff was very friendly. I appreciated Rowena's knowledge and dry British humor. I will definitely return to this location even though I live in Tacoma because of my exceptional experience.

Above and beyond! These people treated me so well. I had an eye irritation for several days and finally it became unbearable. I called right before closing and they made the time for me to come in right away. The doctor immediately found I had a metal sliver in my eye. He was able to remove it quickly and painlessly. He was very thorough about my aftercare and made sure I was prepared for what was to come. The office staff was amazing as well. All around great people. The entire staff was very professional courteous, and showed exceptional concern about my requests and needs. If I own this business I would be very fortunate to have these employees. I worked with three of them and they were all over the top quality. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone in need of eyeglasses. Thank you Mary, Lindsay, and the rest of the staff.

I honestly haven't been so disappointed with a business within 30 seconds of walking in the door my ENTIRE life! I called around 10AM to make sure they accepted our insurance and that they could see us today. "Sure, come on in and we will get you taken care of!" Great, we were on our way! We get there about 11AM and as soon as we walked in the door we were asked if we were there for a "pick up?" No, I said, "we have our script already and need to pick out some glasses." She replies, "I'm sorry, we're really swamped today, can you come back another day?" I reply, "Um, no, we called and were told to come on in and someone can help us today." She says, "Ok, well can you come back tonight as we are really swamped? Again I said, "I'm sorry, we just drove a hour to get here and it's 11AM, we can't return tonight." She then proceeds to tell me she can't "check us in until after lunch, around 1:15-1:30PM" I'm STILL just thankful they can get us in today, but low key blown away by the lack of customer service here. So with 2.5+ hours to kill, my husband and I start looking around at frames. A HOUR AND A HALF goes by and the lady we spoke with leaves the front desk (assuming lunch?) and someone else takes her place. We start noticing other customers coming in and filling out paperwork. I overhear the new person at the desk, "Great, we got you in cue, wait for your name to be called." and the customer goes in the waiting room and sits. NOW I'M FUMING! Still calm, but irritated is an understatement, I asked about this "check in" process and the person at the desk looked at ME like I should have KNOWN to "check in." THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME AT AB!! We were told we can't check in until after 1:15-1:13! So after completing our paperwork, it's now 12:40PM. We FINALLY get in cue! We walk around aimlessly, waiting for our turn, THANKFULLY someone there with a brain and customer service skills finishes up with a customer and looks up at us and asks what we came in for. Her name was GRACE and SHE NEEDS A RAISE! She was literally the only one there that seemed like she actually CARED about the customers and what was going on in the entire building! She got up from the desk and went to find out just what happened with us being there so long. She apologized about the wait (even though NONE of this was her fault) and had a personality that could actually make us smile when we were in a mood to walk out and spend 3x as much at a company that actually wanted to earn our money. Literally, if it wasn't for her, you guys would have zero customers! Also, I went ahead and took some photos of how "SWAMPED" your location was when we were there! 1 person in the waiting room, 1 person picking up glasses, and 2 sets of customers being helped at desks! We were even there long enough to realize those little blue folders next to the waiting room were those of customers waiting in cue. In this photo, there are 3! One was FINALLY OURS! Please train your welcome staff the MEANING OF SWAMPED! We will NEVER use or recommend AB to anyone! Take your money somewhere else!

I had an issue with an exam for my husband at another Americas Best location and I called this location and they were extremely helpful and so personable. It was honestly seamless. I believe the lady who helped me was Mary. I tried to get her name and completely forgot! I feel bad, but I appreciate their customer service so much and will definitely be coming back to this location next time.
