Very friendly and professional staff!! Dr. Walston is very thorough and lovely to talk with. The staff is very understanding and kind. The appointment was quick, all of my concerns were addressed, and they were able to answer all of my questions quickly. Cannot recommend this office highly enough!!

Dr. Walston and his staff are incredibly down-to-earth, helpful, and knowledgeable. The office space has a unique and inviting atmosphere, reminiscent of a jungle ride at Disneyland. As you enter, you'll be greeted by a paved stone walkway ramp surrounded by tropical plants. Upon reaching the seating area, you'll find comfortable office chairs, a coffee table, brochures, reading materials, a TV, and a water dispenser. They're quite prompt, so you don't have to sit there for too long before they return to escort you back for the exams. The office's aesthetic evokes the essence of an old red barn with a large barn door. There's even a greenhouse outside with a bird feeder area, adding to the greenery of the grounds. For my exam, we went through a series of rooms equipped with various equipment to examine my eyes. The first room featured a VR headset that tracked my eye movements and aligned my lenses to suit my natural viewing movements. The second room used a light puff technology (I believe there's a more sophisticated name for it that I'm forgetting), while the third room offered the traditional method exam of reading letters on the wall or up close to refine my vision and obtain an even clearer vision prescription. I'm happy to have discovered this hidden gem, especially considering the staff's unique charm, intriguing personalities, and the building's overall ambiance. I highly recommend this office to anyone seeking a comprehensive and enjoyable eye exam experience. My family and I will definitely be returning for future appointments. For those interested in knowing, we have VSP vision, and this office and provider are considered a "in-network" premier VSP office.

Cannot say enough great things about this office! From the front desk staff, to the assistants, to Dr. Walston himself. They were all so incredibly kind and patient. This was my first time going there and they all took so much time to tell me exactly what was going on with my vision, what hardware would be best for me and then proceeded to help me pick out glasses as well, I couldn't decide and probably took a ridiculous amount of time to choose which pair and I never got even a hint that they were annoyed by that or losing patience with me or anything like that. I would recommend this clinic over and over and I will be going back every year for my eye care!

My family has been seeing Dr. Gustafson for 3 generations. He is always so kind, helpful, informative, and professional. His staff remember me by name and ask how my toddler is doing. Even when at times they haven't accepted my insurance (when I had to switch for some reason) I was happy to pay out of pocket because I wouldn't ever want to go anywhere else! Edit as of July 2023: As could be expected, things just aren't the same without Dr. Gustafson!

I have been going to Dr.Gustafson for 25+ years. He is the most thorough, professional and personable doctor you will ever find. He cares deeply about your eye care needs to the extent of giving out his personal contact information in the event you may need him during off hours. I cannot say enough about how well he has taken care of me over the years. I had complications from lasic surgery done elsewhere, and he did all of the follow up necessary. He has treated eye injuries, I obtained as a veterinary technician, seeing me immediately. Once I had a contact lens shatter in my eye and his care was outstanding. I will never go to anyone else and hope he never retires as long as I need him!

I've been going to Dr. Gustafson for many years. He keeps up with all the newest technology. He is very knowledgeable. My Opthamologist did not explain the relationship between me being diabetic and my glaucoma, but Dr. G. did. He always updates me as to the health of my eyes. And my Opthamologist got my glasses prescription wrong. Dr. G. Is accomodating, patient and personable. I hate to think he would ever retire.

Best Customer service. we own a local koffee shop in town and our whole family has been going to OD Gustafson for years. I had an employee get a piece of glass in her eye at work late evening. (she is not a current patient of his) I paged him and he of course called back just before going into a basketball game. He then asked her several questions and told her what to do. He called her back late that night after the game to check on her. Eye is ok! I could have sent her to the urgent care but our local eye Dr. is who we trust and I wanted her to be taken care of by the best. Thanks for all you do for your Patients. John and Missy Fietz
