Island Eye Care

Had cataract surgery August 2024 and the doctor put the wrong prescription lens in my eye. I tried very hard to convince all of them that there was something not right after surgery but they told me that it was just me healing.. I left the practice being charged $950 for four new prescription lenses for the frames that I already owned and only told "it happens sometimes the refraction/measurements were just a little off. " So it cost me a fortune and it can't be fixed. I have heard Cascadia Eye is really good.

Visiting and staying on Naval base. Issues after my eye surgery in Portland. They said see an eye doctor in Oak Harbor within 24 hours. I show up, no appt, let them know the urgency. Staff were amazing, was able to see Dr Johnson within the eye. Office staff, Crystal, Dr. Johnson were all amazing. Thank you for checking my eye and making sure all was OK. Best customer service ever! Thank you!

It wasn't a good experience for me. I had to have another cataract surgery to remove part of the old lense left in by Dr. Johnson. After multiple follow visits, I hadn't been informed. I was led by the spirit to get a 2nd opinion. Scary. I do not like the dropless surgery either. I was also under medicated during surgery. Anxiety was way up.

Dr. Johnson and his staff were very warm and welcoming yet professional. My daughter and I both had appointments and needed glasses prescriptions as well, I wasn't even planning on getting glasses there (because I didn't realize they sold them). They didn't rush us or push for the hard sell. We will be patients here for a long time.

Doctor Johnson and his team are very professional and know absolutely what they are doing when it comes to your eye care. I have had serious eye issues that they have resolved and continue to monitor with excellent results. I would not hesitate to recommend this fine practice to anyone in need of state of the art eye health care!

Dr. Johnson was absolutely astonishing! He was very kind, made sure to smile, and appear as someone who can help. It was so astonishing that Dr. Johnson charged me $90 for 5 minutes of his time and information I had already found on google. I explained to Dr. Johnson that I have been trying these methods to get rid of my eye issues for months now and need more help. He insisted that I keep trying these methods and see him again in a month. A joke. For nearly $100 I did not receive anything helpful other than a lesson to never fall victim to such a well organized scam again. I did not receive a prescription or procedure because he told me it wasn't necessary so I spent the last of my money just to be told to do it myself. He has a nice team of workers and they will definitely make you feel like you are taken care of. I am not seeking a doctor who sees their patients as dollar signs, I am seeking an eye specialist who genuinely cares for each individual patient and sees to it that their eye issues get resolved as quick as possible, not prolong treatment for extra money.

I visit Island Eye Care for the first time this week, just checking prices on Eyeglass frames and lenses. I know I was lead there by the Spirit of God, they was so nice, very professional, treated with me kindness, as I was a regular patient. Praise God! They filled my prescription, I didn't have to look no farther. I would recommend them to my friends.

I've been to MANY of the place on island, and none of them even come close to the care I received by Dr. Johnson. After having many others fail to get my prescription right, Dr. Johnson discovered my Astigmatism and corrected my lenses. I've never seen clearer! Highest quality of care here and would definitely recommend to everyone!
