Sturbaum Christopher MD

I am 72 years old and my vision had gradually deteriorated over a 20 year period from 20/20 to being unable to read street signs. Finally, after many years of struggling to read with cheaters, I went to the eye doctor. I had cataracts which glasses cannot help. Dr Sturbaum suggested lens implantation surgery and I was pretty skeptical. He said I would be able to read with cheaters once again. Almost immediately following the simple and painless procedure I am 20/20 with no cheaters. I could not read the second line on the eye chart prior to the implants. Dr Sturbaum and his staff are the best. They are not only highly professional, they also do a fantastic job fixing your vision problems. Sometimes you may have to wait a bit to be seen but it is only because Dr. Sturbaum is taking the time he needs to do the best possible job for the previous patient. I am sorry I waited so long to get my vision corrected. Get in there today and you'll be glad you did!

Dr Sturbaum and his excellent staff have performed 2 surgeries on my left eye and one on my right taking my cloudy distorted vision to clear 20/15 (that's better than ideal). As a nurse who has cared for patients before and after these surgeries, I was ready to catch any break in technique or care below standard. There were none, in fact, the attention to detail and cleanliness far exceeded standard. Not an easy patient with a difficult eye disease sure to cause blindness so I am very happy with the results.

Dr. Sturbaum is AMAZING! My great aunt was basically blind in one eye for most of her life, over 60 yrs. He did a corneal transplant over a doz yrs ago and she has enjoyed seeing with 2 eyes since. She sees him once or twice a year and he always remembers her and her story.

Dr. Sturbaum did my husband's cataracts and did an awesome job. My husband had a heart problem while he was there and Dr sent him to Sacred Heart immediately. We saw him in Chewelah Wa. Clean office and great staff there too. Dr sent him right over to Sacred Heart. Awesome

It's been years since I last saw him, but Dr. Sturbaum is amazing. He played a pivotal role in helping me regain my eyesight. His knowledge of corneal disorders was particularly useful in piecing together my somewhat baffling condition. Ever since my recovery, I've gone back to seeing my primary opthalmologist, but I will always be thankful for Dr. Sturbaum and Empire Eye for their help during a very difficult time.

The most unorganized company we have ever delt with!! Poor service, the receptionists are all complete twits and no one communicates with one another! Dr. Sturbaum was the man who diagnosed my husbands eye disease and recommended we go to cannada for the surgery. We did and went back to Sturbaum for post op care. His file was never pulled and the Dr had no idea who he was and was extremely rude asking my husband why he was there and that they were going to charge him cash because he "assumed we did jot have insurance". We have very good insurance as a matter of fact! We were treated so poorly by this quack MD and his staff. Then after the horrible mess with his files they refused to bill our insurance and stated we needed to pay $500 in cash for the next 3 months of post op. It is completely covered by our insurance but they refused to send it off because "they don't know how to code it". A complete joke of a company and health care. Would absolutely never recommend them to anyone I care about.

This is John Wyckoff and I have to say dr. Sturbaum is an amazing doctor. He took control from the very first visit and knew exactly what had to be done to improve my vision. he has wonderful staff and they are all very professional. I would like to say THANK YOU TO DR. STURBAUM AND HIS STAFF for improving the quality of my life with care and expertiece. I would recomend EMPIRE EYE to anyone that has vision or eye disorders and is in need of a great doctor. Unacceptable time management practices! Every appointment my Uncle has had there has incurred a 45 min or more wait time to see Dr. Sturbaum. The followup visits were the worst though - after waiting 45 mins to see the Dr. he comes in for 10 mins at most and then is gone. They really need to get their sorry act together at that place. Making someone wait that long once happens but not every single time - what gives?
