Tumwater Eye Center

I am a hopeless perfectionist. What most people think is adequate, I typically find subpar. My visits to Tumwater Eye Center have always been entirely pleasant. The service I've received, from receptionists to opticians, has consistently been excellent. They are respectful of my time. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes in their spotlessly clean, meticulously organized, comfortable , and spacious lobby. Scheduling appointments has never been problematic, and they accommodate your needs and desires. Only the best tools are always employed. No uncomfortable puffs of air blown into your eyes, and no dilation. Naturally, there's a cost associated with using all the best and greatest tools. Your copay is going to be a little bit higher, but it's quite manageable. If you care about service, and value excellence, this is the place to go.

I saw Dr. Finch today, and his chairside manner was wonderful! He was very patient with me, and explained the options I had available to me in my situation. I felt very satisfied that I was fully informed and was able to order new glasses with confidence. The ladies on staff are very nice to interact with, and extremely friendly. I will give one reminder for any new patients - be prepared to pay a $47 co-pay before you leave. It clearly states this in the paperwork that you sign at your first appointment. I was very fortunate that my insurance covered it, but not all insurance policies will.

Just find it odd that they require me to get retinol imaging of the back of my eye in order to be seen and this is NOT something cover by my insurance, nor do I have symptoms related to any issues, It was just time for me to get new glasses. Plus, I had just been seen there six months ago And got this imaging done. I have never had issues before and they were always so nice, this time was different. I went in unaware that this was going to be mandatory and when I refused to get it done during the visit, they told me that I couldn't be seen and they had to cancel the appointment. They told me that I may be charged $50 for a fee for late cancellation. I was not canceling the appointment. They refuse to see me because I did not want to get retinal imaging. I was reached out too, two days later from the office manager who informed me that they were not going to charge me a $50 late fee however, the doctors suggested that I get care elsewhere. So basically because I was unaware that this was made mandatory until time of visit, therefore resulting in my cancellation of the appointment and they decided that I cannot be seen there anymore... that is wild! Mind you I never got mean or got an attitude, I just kept saying I understood I was just unaware of this update. They stated this policy has been in place for years, however before the office manager came out, The receptionist told me that there were policy updates and they were highlighted in red, One of them being with the imaging policy. TBH I read over it fast and missed it initially before signing in at the start of this visit, but was told afterwards from the office manager that this policy has been in place for a long time, but when seen 6 months ago, The doctor told me it wasn't mandatory but suggested. The Office manager suggested that I must've signed it online previously when I was seen six months ago, When asked if I could see to verify that, she wasn't able to. Also wasn't able to verify how long the policy has been in place. Gladly won't be going there again if this is how they treat people.

I just visited TEC for the first time and I chose well. The staff was friendly and efficient. The equipment was impressive and Dr Finch did an excellent job of answering questions and explaining all aspects of my circumstances. I'll be happy to be a long term patient.

Dr. Jeske was a breath of fresh air! I knew our visit was going to be pleasant as soon as he walked in the door as his presence is very friendly. And just know you're definitely going to laugh! He's very knowledgeable and listens to your needs and concerns. His staff is an excellent bunch as well :)

As usual my exam was thorough and personal. Dr Jeske has been watching my early signs of macular degeneration for at least 10 years. With his state of the arts equipment for early detection and his interest in alternative medicine, he has me on vitamins that have made all the difference. I have complete confidence in the care I'm getting. Plus he's a good person. He cares about my health and family. I highly recommend.

From making the appointment, to the exam, and then picking out new frames, my experience could not have been better. Everyone is very kind and most importantly very competent. I'm so glad my friend mentioned Tumwater Eye Center to me. I will be continuing to receive my care here.
