JCPenney Optical

Self paid cash for my glasses that were supposed to be on sale. Had to pay $40 extra for a stronger prescription. Was told 2-3 weeks. Its been 7 weeks so far with no calls from them. I've called 3 times with no answers just that they are still in production. Will never go back. Dr. Graebe was amazing but the Optical Center inside the store is 100% trash

Went in Sept to get and eye exam and glasses. The eye exam was quick and painless. The frames on the other hand have been a nightmare. It took 4 weeks for my glasses to come in. Only to find out that Karen wrote the wrong prescription down so had to send them back out. Call them on Friday to see if they was in note this is 3 weeks after they sent them back. All I got is waiting on the lenses no ETA or nothing. Didnt even get a goodbye just hung up and no surprise it was Karen. So called corporate and filed a complaint on how bad the optical department is run. You would think that since she messed them up that they would have rushed them NOPE! So here I am 7 weeks with no glasses. I mean it say 7-10 days online as an average time to get your glasses back but this place is a month it seems like. I sould have taken the guy getting a refund as a sign to just leave but here I am. I can't wait to get them just to find out the prescription or something else is wrong. Fingers crossed .

I have been going to Penney's for years for my eye exams, glasses and contacts. Never had a bad experience until this last month. I leave messages on the recording because a human never answers the phone. No ever returns my call. Just 1 month ago I spent over $400 on an exam and glasses....no contacts at this point. Picked up my glasses and I love them. However, when I asked about contacts I have got nothing but the runaround. I ordered only 6 contact lenses which cost $62. Ordered them from Penney's online. Again - never spoke with a human. The message I received when I placed my order was to include a copy of my prescription which I did. Also, the doctor would need to be contacted to verify my prescription which I understand. I have been waiting well over a week to receive them only to find that the money I paid for my 6 contacts was put back into my account. No explanation. No idea why but again.......no one ever returns my calls. I have gone to Penney's and only Penney's for the past 30 years. I am not sure what is going wrong but something is. The doctor was wonderful. Other than that, everything has been a nightmare.

Do not go to the optical. Buy somewhere else ordered contacts. Been 7 weeks no one can tell me where they are at. When I call always a different story. Story changes even while on tge phone with the optical dept. Beware. Stay away.

Chose two pair of glasses for $377.00, waited two weeks, no call, so I called them. The glasses both arrived but both pair scratched down the middle and the clerk said it happens there sometimes. I asked for a refund and it was issued but in the middle of talking to the clerk she HUNG UP the phone on me. No apology, terrible customer service, and horrible experience. The time was 2:30 p.m. Thursday July 20 th. I will never go to JC Penney optical again. I believe her name was Karen. Go figure.

It's honestly a good experience and the only place open for seeing patients at this time

The Doc took the time to do all tests and explain everything to me. Brian was very nice and helpful in picking out frames. They got me an appointment in three days which was unexpected.

Had to file police report against an employee Shawn Kesler. He physically grabbed a customer. Dont go here You have to stay away This employee belongs in prison. Not an optical store
