I have been going here for a little over 3 years now. I see Dr. Wittman and he is phenomenal. He is so personable and does a great job at making patients feel comfortable. He is thorough during his exam and always explains things as he goes. He's always open to questions and responds in a way that is easy to understand. One of my favorite things here is that they examine babies under 1 for free as part of their infancy program. They also never give me trouble for requesting my script be printed out to buy glasses elsewhere! I really like this office and I recommend it to everyone I know.

Dr. Whittman is fantastic!! He goes above and beyond and is knowledgeable. In addition he is excellent and very patient with children. Our whole family goes to see him. I highly would recommend him! The best eye doctor we have ever had.

We have been going to this location for many years. Recently our insurance changed. We notified there front office of the change. We got a bill for $570 for our three children. They charged us for the $190.00 fee instead of $170.00 pay the same day. A few issues. They did not communicate in advance that we could pay $170 the same day. They did not help verify that our new insurance would still be covered at there location. That was partially our fault so we were willing to pay the $170. However most places we have gone to typically look that up in advance to help. We discussed with there manager and they are insisting we pay the $190 even though they never shared that we could pay the same day. They are not a family friendly place, there was only one good doctor there we were willing to see and Jorgen and Schulz are neither of the good doctors at that location.

I went to other places they couldn't get my prescription correct here the first time and yes they got it right thank you so much. You will always have me as a patient.

Dr. Wittman rocks! Very thorough (which is what you want when dealing with something as important as your eyes!) Very friendly and he makes sure you understand what he's doing before he does it. Great work!! My family and I will definitely be back in the future. Thank you for being a great place to come to!

Very professional staff. They stand by the warranty on there product. I have a 7 year old ( if that says anything ) they are quick to fix scratched glasses or adjust if needed. Also went above and beyond to Change transition lenses to no transition. Very pleased customer

I've been going here for years and in the past few years I've had nothing but issues with them. I was tempted to change to a different eye care provider this year, but thought I'd give this location another shot. HA! I'm for sure changing this year. Last year I was chastised by Dr. Layendecker's Intern for everything she thought I was doing wrong with my contact lenses and for refusing to have my eyes dilated while in the office. This alone made me almost switch providers immediately. I gave Dr. Layendecker another shot and thought, it was her intern and not her. I should have just went with my instincts. This year I had to make a last minute eye appointment. I was due for my yearly check up and I had an issue going on with my eye. The visit went well until I was sent to the Pharmacy to pick up some eye drops. It would have been nice to have been warned that the little. .05 oz. prescription I needed to get was going to cost me almost $150. The Pharmacist himself also didn't understand why the brand name prescribed when a generic option was available and much cheaper. Thankful the Pharmacist and his assistant were able find a coupon option with the company that took the prescription cost way down. I had to rely on the Pharmacist to tell me this, you'd think this is something an eyecare provider or office staff would know prior to sending someone to pick up an expensive prescription. As for the second part of my experience this year, Dr. Layendecker asked me to come back after the weekend to stop in so she could make sure my eye was healing as it should. She said she wanted to double check that everything was OK. She had her staff make a "fake" appointment for me and she advised that I could come in whenever I was done with work that day. I sat in her office for over an hour and saw her for less than 5 minutes and as charged for the visit. It would have been nice if I'd been told that this was being treated like a regular visit and it was going to cost me out of pocket. It's horrible practice to leave a patient with unexpected charges. Had I known I was being charged for 5 minutes of her time just so she could double check my eye, I would have declined and told her I'd call if there were any issues. This was my last appointment at this office and I won't go back after this last experience. Their hold messaging is laughable talking about how they love referrals, well you can guarantee you'll never get a referral from me.

if you need a routine exam for a child, check other places. this place charged $190 for a routine vision exam for 6 yrs old (child perfectly had no vision issues). business office submitted additional $38 charge for eye refractions, glasses, contact lenses and fittings which were not covered by insurance. Front office rep explained that they did it anyway despite the fact that my child did not need glasses or contact lenses and could perfectly see the bottom row on the chart/screen.
