Absolutely best eye care in Wisconsin, hands down. Wonderful staff, all very competent, friendly and reassuring!!!! Latest and greatest testing equipment. Dr.Holtebeck is the BEST. Not only a brilliant surgeon ( two eye surgeries for me) but a caring human being! I give Dr. Holtebeck, his staff and clinic a 12 out of 10 rating. Highly recommend this clinic!

Dr. Holtebeck did my two cataract surgeries. What an amazing job he did! For the first time in over fifty years, I have crystal clear vision with no glasses or contacts. It's nothing short of a miracle! Dr. Holtebeck's skills and bedside manner are outstanding. I would also like to give a special thank you to Dr. Holtebeck's surgery team. I was so fortunate to have the same group for both surgeries - Sara, Natalie, and Kendall. Thank you to for explaining everything perfectly and supporting me through the surgeries. While I didn't personally avail myself of Dr. Holtebeck's services, I did coordinate the visit and subsequent surgery for my elderly aunt. The staff, especially Wendy & May, were absolutely amazing to work with, and continually went above and beyond relative to the unique circumstances of my aunt's surgery. I did meet Dr. Holtebeck prior to surgery and he was very thorough in answering my questions. Blepharoplasty surgery was performed and although there is the normal swelling and discoloration, my aunt was able to see much better just within the first 24-48 hours.

The doctor was great but I had a terrible experience with the staff. When I made the appointment, I explained that I was new to Medicare and that I wanted to get an eye exam. After I had my eye exam, I wanted to get a prescription to go get glasses and I was informed that there would be a $40 charge because it was all done digitally. I was never informed of that when I made the appointment. They sent the office manager out to talk to me and her response to me was, "Did you ask if there would be a charge?" I explained that I have never been to the eye doctor where I wasn't given a prescription, so no, I did not ask if there would be a charge. The receptionist said she always tells patients that when they make their appointment. It sounded like the same woman's voice when I made the appointment so I don't know if that's true, but I feel that it should be told to all new patients by whoever takes the call. I was also told that there were signs in the office, but the one sign I saw on the far side of the reception desk had a plant and cards in front of it. It said nothing about a $40 charge for a written prescription.

Dr. Holtenbeck and his staff are great. I just finished my 2nd cataract surgery and the world is lighter and brighter and more clear. I had no problems at all. Thank you Dr.

I recently had Cataract surgery, I was very nervous about it. The procedure was quick easy and no pain. Recovery has been good with no complications. Dr. Holtebeck was very approachable and explained everything prior to, during and after. I would highly recommend Dr. Holtebeck.

I was impressed with both Dr Holtebeck and his staff. Dr Holtebeck listened to my concerns, asked if I had questions, and generally had a great bedside manner. I felt like I mattered as a patient. This filtered down and showed as the staff interacted with me..... I came to his office after a very negative experience with a different ophthalmologist's office where that doctor would not take the time to listen or show concern. This was a night verses day difference.
