I cannot recommend Kate, Dr. J, and the team at Shopko EC enough. Kate has repeatedly gone above and beyond to help me out.
My daughter wears the MiSight contacts and she is the only one who does at this location. The lenses, when used in adolescence, can help slow the progression of myopia. It is incredibly important that they are worn every day. Kate has patiently helped me find ways to maximize my insurance while maintaining the continuity of using these lenses.
Dr. Jochimsen is the only Shopko optometrist that fits these specific lenses, so making sure we schedule with him is necessary. Kate helps me find days and times that work for our family - over and over the team at this location has made my life easier! There's a reason we keep coming back. Thank you Kate & Dr. J!

I've been to the Clairemont Avenue location multiple times. After the closure of my prior optical store, Arianna adjusted my glasses for free! When it came time for new glasses, of course I chose this store. Everyone I have worked with is super. There was an issue with how my lenses were made, but quickly remade without an argument. The location is very convenient and they have great hours. I do not hesitate to recommend Shopko Optical on Clairemont Avenue in beautiful Eau Claire!

Sammy was the best! She helped me select the best frames that looked good on me, and she ensured there were affordable options. She did well with the exam and helped, as I have never had a virtual eye exam. Even when the equipment was not cooperating, she remained calm and professional throughout my entire experience. Having Sammy on your team makes sure everyone feels welcomed. :)
She is the entire reason I am giving a 5-star review; however, if I had Anne, it would not be, she was super loud and bossy towards all of the employees. Also, there should be a receptionist answering all phone calls; the number of calls that were made during my visit made me over overwhelmed.
