Lang Family Eye Care

Unfortunately despite my wanting to give a good review I am going to have to say avoid this place unless you want to get hit by a surprise bill 2 months after your appointment. They seem to have a different story every time I call and after having explained the fact that the appointment should be covered fully I am tired of having to go back and forth with them to try to get situation resolved. I am a pharmacist with extensive knowledge on billing and suggest that they hire someone who knows how to bill because I won't be coming back here with my whole family after this situation with billing screwup for my parents myself and my husband. In response to the owner: Actually I did reach out to the insurance not once not twice but 6 different times. I even spent a total of 10 hours on the phone with them to ensure I was not mistaken. As I deal with insurance on a daily basis and have been in the medical profession dealing with insurance for the past 21 years, I know for a fact that I confirmed coverage in the 10 hrs spent this week reaching out to them and in the several hours I spent speaking to them prior to enrolling in this Healthcare plan. Anyways the money is not the issue, it was the lack of knowledge from staff and misleading information being communicated and the fact that yes my husband screwed up charging it to my card but the unwillingness to take care of the issue and keep coming back to the patient to tell them to call insurance to reimburse the copay. Obviously if I can afford to spend $25,000 to save my dog's life this past Christmas I can afford a $200 eye dr bill. Apparently my asking you to refund my husbands credit card and charge my hsa credit card is too much work and trouble for your staff since that is what I was planning on doing rather than argue about how the bill should have been covered. It was my mistake in thinking I could bring my parents, my son, myself and my husband here and support a local business. I apologize for inconveniencing your practice and asking you to rectify your billing error. P.S.- To clarify also my medical deductible had been met 100 percent when I came to your practice on November 13, so the statement you are making about it going to my deductible is in fact incorrect, but I am sure patients who are too naive and unfamiliar with billing and copay will believe everything told to them. Since billing is a courtesy to your patients, I would definitely advise future patients to be wary of expecting surprise bills 2 months after the appointment because not everyone can afford surprise medical bills. In response to owner: The supposed dedicated biller who has 50 years experience screwed up billing 1st time hence why they called me to inform me of the partial refund they were issuing. Again it would have been too much for me to expect someone to admit they screwed up although it is evident that errors were made the first time despite their experience. Experience does not make you perfect and yes everyone makes mistakes including myself, however I was raised by my parents to own up to my mistakes rather than pass the blame. I hold myself accountable and that is obviously not the standard at your office. I bend over backwards to take care of my patients and go the extra mile to help them but again I have only seen a handful of people in the health profession who do the same so I am not surprised by this incident. As a health care professional I wanted to forewarn potential patients on a budget to the surprise bills they may or may not receive. I have accomplished that and have done my due diligence and now they can decide for themselves since there are 2 sides to every story. Regardless of what has happened, I hope everyone has a prosperous and blessed 2026.

Everyone at Lang Family Eye Care is superb. From Dr. Ryan Lang to the front desk staff, they provide a great experience. I had an eye emergency and was able to be seen within a few hours of calling. As a bonus, the waiting room music was excellent for both of my visits.

I switched to Lang's after having a horrible experience at another eye place. This place is AMAZING! I had the most detailed exam ever in my life. She ensured I had the correct prescription and wasn't rushed at all. My prescription was way too strong before I came here. My eyes no longer hurt after staring at the computer. They also emailed my prescriptions very fast after requesting them. 100% recommend

Best Optometrist Office around! Ryan and his wife are super nice and helpful as is all of their staff! I love that they can text you to communicate with you on appointments ect. A very family friendly place with a family atmosphere. Look forward to going there every year!

Lang Family Eye Care is great! I switched from Wisconsin Vision and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Lang was great. She answered my questions and talked to me about my eye condition. The staff helped my pick out some great frames that will work with my high prescription. I would recommend Lang Eye Care to anyone.

I NEVER leave reviews but I feel lcompelled to make one here. Dr Ryan has to be the best doctor I have EVER seen. He was very thorough in my exam even took time to explain my headaches and how my eyes are working harder than they are supposed to because they are mis aligned. I have never been told that. I have to get new eyewear but so worth it now that I have the knowledge as to WHY. I just cannot put into words how happy I am that I found Lang Family Eye Care

I took my 2 year old son on the referral of his primary care physician and Dr. Lang is absolutely wonderful with children! The entire staff is warm and welcoming and so very accommodating to young children. I am beyond pleased with my son's first experience with the eye doctor as this can be very scary at the age of 2. There is a nice variety of glasses for children that my son LOVED picking out and trying on. The decision making process was simple and quick. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with young children and to anyone of any age.
