In the summertime I saw Dr. Rentmeester after I was told I could no longer make an appointment with the provider I had been seeing for years there. I told her assistant when I got there I did not wish to do dilation at this appointment. Her assistant made a big deal about it and told me, " I don't understand what the problem is people do it all the time". When I said no again she said "we might have to cancel the appointment" because I would not allow it. I was also there for contacts.
At that point the assistant made me feel embarrassed and shamed for not doing what they wanted. I told her she did not need to get an attitude with me and she would not stop with her passive aggressive comments about not doing dilation. Then a new worker came in and was very nice. I met with the Dr. Rentmeester who commented at the end of the appointment , " well I have to make sure my staff is safe" when speaking with her about the situation. I could not get out of that appointment faster. I was shocked by the whole situation and uncomfortable. I would not recommend Dr.Rentmeester or her staff.
