Mrs Lydia is the most amazing and kindest person you'll meet! She's so helpful picking out new glasses and takes her time to help. I had an emergency where my glasses broke and they were able to pop them into a new frame asap!! So great to know in emergency's they can help

This was a happenstance visit. I turned into the wrong place that ended up being the RIGHT place! Andrea and Lydia were SO very nice and personable. They were very knowledgeable and helpful and I promise you I won't ever go anywhere else. I am in healthcare and have a high standard. It was a small town personal experience that is sorely missing these days. I needed glasses for my aging mom. They made her feel as though she was their only customer. We were in and out in 30 min. This is not an exaggeration. They were A+++. Mom's glasses were very affordable and nice! Just what she needed. They didn't try to up-sell to make a buck. I would recommend them 100x over. Thank you ladies!!!

Great selection of frames for all ages. Staff is always super friendly, helpful, & patient. Even though they don't take our insurance, we enjoy our experience and care here so much, we prefer to come here. Fortunately they will price match our insurance policy! We have used them for at least 3 years now. I highly recommend!

I first went to Bob's more than a decade ago. None of my glasses had lasted very long, and I had started wearing them in 1967 when I went to a school with florescent lights. The problem has been that my skin chemistry eats most metals, and my eyes adjusted more quickly than the 120hz generated by that period's florescents. The opticion at Bob's told me about the fully titanium frames that had just came out. "Regular" titanium frames had still used base metals in the nose piece. Every pair of glasses that I had had failed at the nosepiece. He fitted me with a newly released fully titanium frame in 2013. I just replaced it at Bob's, more than ten years later with very much the same pair. I had confirmed that my optician understood my specific concerns, and that she was very concerned with fitting me with the best pair. In well less than ten minutes, I knew that I was going to buy whatever pair she recommended. She was very concerned about len sizes and such that I could have followed, but didn't feel that I needed to, as well as the different color options. To top it off, another Optician came over to assist her. The two of them worked very well together to ensure that I had the absolutely best pair for me. They hadn't suggested it, but I also bought a pair of clip-on sun-glass lens. I enjoy the outdoors. I've been wearing glass since the 1970's, including as an Army brat and in the US Navy. I haven't been pleased with any optician like I am with Bob Green's in Alabaster.

Bob Green's has a ton of history and for great reason. Family owned business with a ton of selections in optical frames as well as one of the largest selections of Maui Jim sunglasses in Alabama. Staff is super friendly and always willing to help.

Purchased new (with new RX) safety glasses in 2016 - one of frame sides broke (after years of dropping them) and i called - still have this style and will replace the whole frame for very low cost! Couldn't be happier! Second pair i have had in decades - solid support and friendly.

Absolutely love the ladies! They are so kind and patient with me and my kids when trying to find the perfect glasses! They always help me find the perfect look for myself.
