Jason Stephenson, OD

I have been coming to this business for years and have never before had a poor experience. I have always enjoyed the staff and I do recommend Dr. Stephenson. That said, I was not impressed with my last visit. I fully support a mask requirement for all personnel and patrons of this and all establishments. However, I have concerns with how it is being handled at this facility. I was forced to remove my brand new N95 mask to don a surgeon's mask, which is far inferior to my N95. I understand concerns with masks being reused (there can be a significant decrease in effectiveness - though that's not exactly relevant for a surgeon's mask), but I particularly take issue with being asked to remove my mask while inside this relatively small building. I was falsely told it was safe. It was the end of the day in a small building in which you've had customers changing masks all day. You disinfect surfaces, not the air. In fact, your HVAC could actually amplify the problem. The staff seemed surprised when I chose to change into the surgeon's mask outside. I was also later forced to remove my N95 from ON TOP of the provided surgeon's mask without an explanation except 'it's policy'. I felt vulnerable and unsafe in this building. How many people have you exposed to COVID because you had them remove their masks inside? Maybe none. Maybe lots. All I can say for sure is that I was uncomfortable. @MyEyeDoctor - I was told I had to do all of this because it is your policy. If that's true, are you seeing any problems here?

I had the pleasure of getting an eye exam today at MyEyeDr at the Colonnade. Normally, that would be a joke, but to be honest it was an extremely pleasant experience. All of the staff were super nice and actually fun to talk to. Dr. Stephenson took the time to answer all of my questions like an actual human, not a robot doctor. Super glad I went now!
