I have been to Dr. Hudson's office twice now, and both appointments were - without exaggeration - the best optometry appointments I have ever experienced. She did a very thorough eye evaluation with much care, skill, and even provided informational health tips. Dr. Hudson recommended a special type of contact lens best suited for my acute needs which no prior optometrist in my 20+ years of receiving corrective lenses had ever mentioned. Furthermore, when receiving training on how to remove the contact lenses, I was very soothed by and grateful for Dr. Hudson's dual-excellence in compassion + competency, as I was having a lot of trouble learning the lens removal technique, and she was abundantly patient and pedagogic. Dr. Hudson is the best. She really takes the time with her patients. And patience is an understatement when referring to her. I changed my mind on a pair of progressive lens when she was finishing up the original and she had no problem changing the order. I will be back and I also recommend her!!

This local + woman-owned business completely changed my perspective on eyewear! The entire process from private exam appointment to selection to fitment was customized to my needs. The attention to detail and wide array of options resulted in the best eyewear of my life! Also, Dr. Andrea carries the Wiley X brand which is known for its exceptional durability and quality. For an avid athlete, traveler and handyman these were the perfect fit. Instead of 3 different pairs of cheap glasses, I have one pair that can do everything!

In the past I've only gone to big stores like Walmart or America's Best and the difference between those stores and Steel City Eye Care is night and day. The office is very nice and cozy. Dr Hudson is unbelievable. She is very helpful and professional. The eye exam was great and she spent time to help me pick out the perfect glasses. This will definitely be where I go for future exams and I would recommend this business to anyone.

Best optometrist I've ever been too. Dr. Hudson is extremely professional and thorough, and she is equally as caring. She has a wide variety of frames with more interesting styles/designs than I've seen at other offices.

Andrea is the kindest, most calming optometrist I've ever visited. She made me feel like she truly cares about my health. She helped me for at least 20-30+ minutes picking out frames, and seemed to truly enjoy helping me every step of the way. Highly recommend!
