Dr. Potter is great and the staff. Glasses is a little too high for me anyway. As of yet I have to go back for my glasses when the call. So I will be back here to see if everything goes OK. OK Monday September 29,2025, picked up my new Glasses, they did a wonderful job, never ever have I not have to get my glasses adjusted for the first time. Precription was great, I was amazed. Thank you Eye Associate in Decatur Alabama, I appreciate you all for everything. Keep up the good work.

I won't be coming back here again. I took my daughter in because she had an injury to the eye and this was the first place (other than an emergency room) that could evaluate her quickly. I'll take some of the responsibility for this poor review because I know I should have seen an opthalmologist over an optometrist but we were desperate and my understanding was they could perform a screening for an injury. The exam itself seemed fine. We were told that she would be fine and her vision was perfect! Fantastic! I had some followup questions like what I should do if the dark spot in her vision remained if I should go see an opthalmologist. I'm not sure if this was a hit to his ego or something but Dr. Potter made me feel that I was an idiot for asking that. He said something along the lines of "I'm not her mother. That's up to you." Of course I know that! I'm only asking for your recommendation because you're the supposed expert. Then I asked if it would be helpful to by some kind of eye solution to keep the eye clean and he said, "Why?" Because her eyes are still itchy from glow stick liquid getting in there!!! As I explained why he gave me a stare that said, "Shut up lady, you're wasting my time." It would have been just as easy for him to say, "That's not necessary. He didn't care to know the details. He didn't ease my concerns. I left with a pit in my stomach. We'll go elsewhere next time.

I highly recommend EyeCare Associates and Dr Dale Potter. He is one of the best doctors in the business. All the employees are great as well. They are eager to help you any way they can.

Always like to come to Dr Potter and his staff is really good. I am getting glasses and the lady helping me was a big help and we had fun choosing my glasses.

Two stars, because this business (or maybe just the doctor) does not have very good bedside manners for children. He just seems completely annoyed the moment he walks in. The elderly white lady who helps with glasses is also not very friendly. She also seems bothered. This is the second year and second time getting glasses from them, unfortunately we don't feel comfortable coming back.
