Bender Eye Care

For 5 years they have been great BUT now I cannot recommend them. I spent $500 for glasses. I had to go back a week later for adjustment in bifocal line. He said he was sorry it took so long because the lens kept popping out. No problem. Then last week i took them in again because both lenses kept popping out. I was told someone had stepped on them and they would not fix them. Here is the problem, I didn't step on them. My 45 yr son says he didn't step on them and I really doubt my 22 pound dog did. I was basically called a liar and I would have to pay for new frames and to get plastic next time. So I'm a liar with a $500 useless glasses. Back to my old pair which is why I got new glasses. Feeling very abused by this and feed up

Yesterday afternoon after their office closed. My left eye was watering and felt like something was in my eye. I took out both of my contacts and flushed my eyes. I finally tried to go to sleep and that didn't last long. As I woke up this morning. I knew I couldn't go to work as the pain was so bad. I was at Bender Eye Care as soon as they opened. Dr. Childers saw me asap. I was diagnosed with an eye ulcer. He called me in drops. Which I used all day but my eye was still not feeling good. I called to the office and was able to get in touch with Dr. Bender. Who is awesome. I've been seeing him for about 30 years. He was able to help me with an ointment. Wow, omg I put it inn my eye. Instant help and relief. Thank you, thank you , thank you to Dr.Bender and Hannah Brackin Young for helping me be able to get some rest tonight. I totally trust their office. Total care from their office all the way around.

Went in with a metal splinter in my eye, the ladies working in the front were very nice and worked urgently to get me through to the doc, doctor Childers got me took care of, he was very informative on my situation and very respectful. If im ever in need of eye care and im in the area im definitely going back to Bender Eye Care!

Absolutely a wonderful experience! Very clean, friendly and a relaxing atmosphere. The doctor's are very thorough as well as their amazing staff! Thank y'all for the excellent care y'all give your patients!

This place is great. The eye doctor that i saw was super sweet and listened to the issues I was having. I didnt have insurance and he was like if you need something different he told me to call because he didnt want me to be charged all this money. Especially since I jsut moved here no insurance no job yet. He was super sweet

Had an appointment today. All the staff made the visit pleasant. Dr. Childers was very knowledgeable and really took the time to explain what was going on with my eyes and also gave me a few options other than glasses to correct my focus and whatnot....which is something other eyecare facilities do not do.

This was one of the most unpleasant time at this business. I ended up returning my glasses but they nickel and dime you to death. Bit of a rip off! 20% restocking fee! Never heard the likes from any eyeglass place I've ever been to! Update!! Went to Walmart and the customer service was great! plus they give you 60 days to return if not happy and they DO NOT charge you 20% for restocking!! Also you get a choice of lenses. I wish I had gone to them in the first place. I'm surprised this company is still in business.

Dr Bender friendly and thorough. Front desk personel, cordial, not overly friendly, but not rude. Ordered new lenses, reasonable prices. Friendly service while ordering. Lenses came in, received call and was told no appontment needed to have them cut and put in frames. Called to confirm when I was able to pick up, since I'm over 20 miles away and was told that I could bring glasses in. Get to office, and was told the person that does that did not come in. Left frames to be picked up the next day. Send husband to pick up glasses. Lady did not come in again and glasses were not done. Husband picked up glasses. He was told to come back the following Monday. Called to confirm on Monday, before going because I live over 20 miles away. Was told that there is only 1 person that cuts lenses and she did not come in again,but would be there at 3. I was told I could bring frames in and pick up after 3....again, I live over 20miles away. Was discouraged not to come in to wait for service to be done, because it takes over 20 mins. Left message for this person to call me to confirm that I can come in and get glasses done the same day while I waited. Never received call, still waiting for my glasses that have been paid for. Very dissatisfied at this point!!!
