America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

I haven't been to America's Best since 2023. I went today and was pleasantly surprised. I was greeted when I walked in, signed in and was promptly called to the eye prep. She was very polite and professional too. The eye Dr was very nice, we had a few laughs. It was a great experience. Then Mandy checked me out, she was very knowledgeable and respectful. I had a great experience today. Thank you for the changes you guys have made. I will be back.

I went into the Huntsville location recently to purchase a pair of glasses. I was treated as if I was an issue just for coming in. The lady whom assisted me in purchasing the frames had zero knowledge about the particular glasses I was getting. Everything I asked her I was responded to with an attitude and smart mouth! I will never go back to that location! The staff needs to be trained on customer service and glasses. I would give them a -10* star if it were possible! I would like to mention that the staff over at the Madison location is absolutely the best so go shop with them..I WILL NEVER GIVE AMERICAS BEST MY BUSINESS AGAIN

This America's Best in Huntsville was a great experience! They are very kind and courteous over the phone and made me feel welcome the minute I visited the store. Mandy was professional and went out of her way to make sure I was getting the correct glasses I needed.

I went to a different location in prattville Alabama. Finally got my glasses in and couldn't even see out of them,everything was blurry. They said give it 2 weeks. That didn't work either so I ended up tossing them and going back to my old glasses. I read many reviews on reddit where people complained of the same exact issue among a slew of other complaints. I couldn't find one positive review. I was going to give America's Best a second chance but I don't think so. They have 465 complaints on the better business bureau website and only 175 addressed in the last year. After reading a book full of horrible reviews and seeing their BBB profile, I will NEVER go there again. Consumer affairs website has 1500 reviews about America's Best on their website with an average of only 2 stars overall. That should tell you something. Stay away from this place!

I was a bit hesitant about using America's best as the reviews were not that great, but we had a wonderful experience. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted by a very nice women. She checked us in with a smile, looked us in the eyes and spoke to us kindly. The young lady that also took me back to get stats on my eye was very kind as well. I unfortunately did not get names on these young ladies. Both my son and I got a contact lense exams. I had Dr Bradford for my eye exam and he was great, knowledgeable and kind. He answered all my questions and listened to my concerns and he made great recommendations. I was checked out by Alexander and he was also polite and kind and checked us out with a smile. My son had Dr. Wright. I cannot give her a review since I was not in the room with him but he said she was kind. He was checked out by Mandy and I had lots of questions for her since I wasn't in the room with my son, she answered them. She was kind and patient with us and helped us get some trials of contacts that the Dr had not ordered (again, since I wasn't in the appointment with him the Dr didn't know I wanted to find different brands for him and my 15 year old didn't say anything). I appreciated her patients and kindness and understanding in the matter. Thank you Mandy. Overall, it was a good experience for what we needed. We do not have any eye health problems so this worked for us. However, if you are experiencing issues with your eyes, I probably would not use them as the exam was not as extensive as I have had in other places. But for a quick and cheaper option where your eyes are healthy, I felt it was a great deal and the staff were all wonderful and kind.

Everyone I experienced from the receptionists to the doctor was so professional! They answered my questions with confidence and didn't rush the service. Glasses arrived in less than half of the time I was originally told! Five star service.

This is by far the absolute worst company to ever buy prescription eyewear from. They use a bait and switch pricing paired with untrained staff and they take zero responsibility for their errors. They convinced me my eyes were just not adjusting to my distance eyewear and twice made my $900 glasses with a computer screen script. The doctor specifically told me do not wear the computer script for driving and unfortunately the untrained staff put me in danger trying to drive with computer glasses. The manager wouldn't even look me in the eye. Terrible customer experience! The doctor was great and good selection of frames followed by terrible staffing.

Absolutely the worst experience ever! Do not trust the staff to take care of your vision needs. First, the pricing is complete bait and switch tactic. Second, the scripts are not what the doctor orders. Two months in of "you have to give it time for your eyes to adjust" was complete blanketed response when in fact, they kept making my driving glasses with a computer script. They put me in danger while giving wrong advisement, suffering burning eyes and headaches, not one employee could look me in the eye and have a resolution focused conversation. I had to call back trying to get a manager on the phone that finally understood what I was going through. Again, go somewhere else where the doctor is invested in the outcome of your patient experience.
