Love going here, everyone that works there is always friendly and Dr. Cash has been a great doc. The team on the floor is super helpful and knowledgeable about their frames and always try to get you the best price on your glasses. They all have great taste and will help you pick the best frames for you - I've taken their suggestions both times I've asked for an opinion. I'd recommend to anyone that would ask to go here.
My family and I absolutely love Dr. Pendergrass. He has been our eye doctor for years now. I recommend everyone asking for an eye doctor to Dr. Pendergrass. He is very professional and thorough.
I love Dr. Benjamin Pendergrass and the staff at Eye care Associates! They always do a great job and make you feel comfortable. They're very friendly and personable from the minute you walk in the door until you leave.
I see Dr. Cash he is very good dr. I really enjoy seeing him. He makes u feel comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. I've been a patient there for years. I seen Dr. Moultrie up until he retired.
Dr. Nicastro is so kind, soft spoken and patient. His "bedside manner" is very humble and attentive. He listens to me and he seeks to find solutions to my eye problems.
The person who answered my call AFTER I was instructed to call, not so much. She was arguing with me about MY insurance coverage. She was VERY rude and then she hung up in my face. VERY unprofessional!
Fortunately, I won't allow that to change my opinion about the Dr. However, I will say, that I have very little confidence in the telephone staff. That was an awful experience.
Everyone was very friendly and although I did not need assistance, a gentleman came in while I was there who did and they were very happy to go out and assist him. I was very pleased with my examination. The doctor was very thorough and explained in detail everything she was seeing the young lady who assisted me and choosing new glasses was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable .
I've frequented this location for over 20 years, from my childhood to early adulthood. I've seen the practice change hands from Dr. Kenneth Moultrie to Dr. NiCastro & Associates--one of whom, Dr. Boyd I've known since elementary school. This EyeCare Associates practice has some of the most courteous, knowledgeable, and professional staff that I've ever met in any medical practice. The facility is immaculately clean, and the service is also genteel and personable. I highly recommend this practice for all your visual-health needs, and shout out to Dr. Pendergrass for all his hard work
My visit was extremely disappointing and did not meet the standard of care or professionalism I was expecting, particularly given how highly your practice had been recommended.
Upon arrival, my first impression was concerning. While waiting, another patient left the office stating they had been waiting over three hours and that this was "the norm" every time they visited. Regrettably, my own appointment ultimately took approximately two hours, which appears to confirm that long wait times are a systemic issue.
During my initial screening, I informed the technician that I cannot be dilated due to a medical condition. I also explained that my medical insurance has covered retinal imaging for the past three years at my previous eye care center as an alternative. I was told this would need to be checked. I was then sent back to the waiting room and, roughly 20 minutes later, brought to the imaging area. At that time, I was told there was no clear answer regarding coverage, but that the photos would be done anyway. During this interaction, Dr. Cash came in, examined my eyes, and instructed the technician to proceed with the photos.
At no point during any of these conversations was I informed that I would be financially responsible for the imaging, nor was I asked for consent to proceed knowing there would be an out-of-pocket charge. Based on my prior experience and the information provided, I reasonably assumed the photos would be covered by my medical insurance as they had been in previous years.
After completing my exam, which I would like to note was handled very thoroughly and professionally by Dr. Boyd,I was taken to the lobby to select glasses and check out. It was at this point that I was informed I would be charged for the imaging. When I questioned this, I spoke with the manager, Benja. Unfortunately, her response was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to explore any resolution or attempt to work with me regarding the charge, despite the lack of disclosure beforehand and the fact that the photos were ok'ed by Dr. Cash.
Benja's attitude and refusal to assist were extremely disappointing and left me feeling disrespected as a patient. This interaction ultimately overshadowed the positive experiences I had with Jasmyn and Dr. Boyd, both of whom were friendly, accommodating, and thorough.
This was my family's first visit to your practice, and due to this experience, we will not be returning. I have also shared this incident with family and friends who currently use or were considering your center, and they have expressed similar concerns about trust and transparency as a result. This outcome is unfortunate, especially given the strong recommendations I had received prior to scheduling my appointment.
I believe patients should be clearly informed of any charges before services are performed, particularly when alternatives are discussed and prior coverage history is communicated. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve patient communication, billing transparency, and management interactions moving forward
