I rarely take the time to leave reviews unless an experience is exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. Unfortunately, this was exceptionally bad. Here are the issues we encountered: 1. When I went to pick up my son's glasses, I stood at the front desk while two employees were talking in the back. Neither acknowledged or greeted me. It was only after another person walked in (possibly a supervisor) that one of them finally came forward to assist. Basic customer service and courtesy were completely lacking. 2. We later returned for my son's scheduled eye appointment and were told at the front desk that the doctor no longer worked there. We were informed the appointment would need to be rescheduled and were told they "should have notified us." There was no proactive communication at all. 3. On the day of the rescheduled appointment, we received a call stating the doctor was unavailable and we would need to reschedule again. 4. On the day of the rescheduled-rescheduled appointment, they left a voicemail saying the doctor does not see children my son's age. This raises serious concerns. How was this not verified before booking? And why wait until the day of the appointment to disclose this? Meanwhile, my son needs an updated prescription in order to continue participating in a gifted program at school. The repeated cancellations and lack of coordination have directly impacted him. The level of professionalism and communication in this office is extremely disappointing. I would strongly encourage anyone looking for an eye care provider to consider other options. This office is pretty bad.

Been using this eye doctor for a 2-3 years now and have enjoyed their service. This last month I had my annual exam and it was unprofessional and lasted over an hour because the staff put in the wrong starter prescriptions and were unsure how to properly work the equipment. I'm all for learning and understand it's apart of the experience but it should never have taken that long. I called 3 separate times after I was done with my trials to order contacts and was told someone would call me back after running insurance and never heard anything so I ended up just asking for my prescription today to go somewhere else to order them. Paying and utilizing them for a service you expect care, professionalism, and efficiency and they unfortunately were unable to perform that.

EVERYONE!! YOUR EYES ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT AND SO IS YOUR SANITY!! DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT EVEN IF IT IS CONVENIENT. THIS BUSINESS IS FAILING EPICALLY AND IN ALL AREAS. AND THE STAFF COULD NOT CARE LESS, AND COULD NOT BE ANY RUDER!! (SEE ALL THE OTHER REVIEWS). My husband made an appointment with My Eye Dr, Providence Main St., HSV, AL, then close to that appointment date, My Eye Dr. called to reschedule him due to the Dr. being on paternity leave. At his rescheduled appointment time, my husband was informed that he was not on the schedule for that day even though he had received reminder texts the day before and the morning of the appointment. (He left work early to attend this appointment). My husband was then rescheduled for their Madison office a few weeks later. My daughter and I made appointments for the same day, a month after my husband. Those appointments were made over the phone with a receptionist at this exact establishment. They were made for a month later - first available. We received correct appointment time text reminders up until 2 days before the appointment, then on the Saturday before our appointments (scheduled for the following Monday), we both received reminder texts for the correct day, but we both were scheduled at a later time than the original appointments we made. No one called either of us to reschedule the appointments. They just changed the time without notification.(We had both rearranged our work scheduled for these appointments). We had to wait until Monday, as soon as they opened, to confirm the correct appointment time. On Monday, they told us neither of us were on the schedule that day. "Laura" (horrible human being!), did not apologize, was extremely rude and passive aggressive; just like EVERYONE there, (unless you're buying frames), she could not care less and did not even attempt to be civil. We made these appointments a month in advance, BTW! Ironically and hysterically, we all are now receiving reminder texts and emails that our annual eye exams are due. BYE, BYE, MY EYE DOCTOR! DON'T NEED YOU! We found a great new doctor. Who is more thorough than My Eye Dr. and found eye problems with my eyes that My Eye Dr. missed. There are many great eye doctors in town! Two new ones have recently opened. Check them out! Costco is awesome too, I hear.

My daughter received an updated prescription that may have triggered a migraine. We dropped in yesterday for help. Leah was so kind and patient with us.

These ladies who were there today, Saturday were amazing. I went in there when one of the nose pieces had broken off my Oakley frames. They helped me by putting new nose pieces on. And told me it was complimentary and no charge. The service was amazing..... I will definitely go there for my next pair of glasses....

I waited 48 hours to cool down and write this. Still very upset at the lack of service and care. First apt, last year took 25 minutes of waiting to be seen. Receptionist apologized and said it wasn't normal. 2nd apt was Monday and I walked out 35 mins after my apt time of 1040 without being seen. I arrived at 1030 so I was hanging in the lobby for 45 mins and no one could have cared less. How can you be that far behind in 2 hours? Extremely disappointed.

Was canceled in multiple times because their parent corporation doesn't allow them to block off dates. Then they never informed me this was a VIRTUAL in office appointment, so I didn't even get to see a doctor in person and was unable to o a proper dilated exam, which was important to me. Transparency, clear communication and a frictionless experience are things a customer values. This place has none of those qualities.

I love the Providence location...Dr. Krause was so attentive to my questions and concerns...he really listened to me...the front desk staff are always kind, courteous and polite...not to mention when I checked out after my exam...Leah was absolutely AMAZING and although I wanted to order my contacts online, she asked me very politely if she could help me save money and order through their office and I saved quite a bit!
