Sullins Eye Care Center

Dr.Sullins and his staff are the best! I highly recommend Sullins Eye Care in Madison! They are incredibly efficient and respectful of your time. I'm always taken back right on schedule, and the entire visit is perfectly streamlined--you genuinely get "in and out quickly" without the care ever feeling rushed. The entire staff is the absolute best. Everyone is friendly and easy to talk to, and Dr. Sullins is wonderful! He's very nice and always takes the time to chat with his patients, making sure you feel informed and comfortable. If you need a great eye doctor, Sullins is the place to go!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This practice was entirely incompetent. The doctor was hurried and did not answer my questions about bifocals, the staff was rude, and unbelievably, when they wrote out my prescription for glasses, they entirely messed it up and left off key details. This was not a one off. Both my husband and I went to this practice months apart and both of us were given an incorrect prescription - as in they reversed the positive and negative, which made the glasses we ordered entirely useless. We had glasses made from another vendor and when they discovered the prescription was entirely wrong, they said that is par for the course from Sullins Eye Care. Thank goodness I did not try to order contacts here - I asked a question about contacts and the optical assistant tried to charge me the contact fitting fee since I mentioned contacts during my visit. I've worn glasses since I was 7 years old and have NEVER dealt with such an incompetent practice. My husband called and requested to speak with the office manager, however the front desk made an excuse and they never returned our call. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. I will be sure to continue spreading this information about this practice. You need better customer service and opticians that know what they are doing. Had you returned my call and taken any steps to make this right, I would not have left this review.

I am not from around here, and I have been disappointed by many medical places around here. However, Sullins stands above the rest for service. While they do show you all options, they are not annoying about the up sale. They have fixed my glasses and replaced lens under warranty instead of just telling me to buy a new pair. The doctor is upfront, but kind and the associates are knowledgeable and friendly.

I am extremely disappointed in this Dr. The office staff are all amazing and very helpful and kind. I went in for my first eye exam with them. I was the last appointment of the day. I showed up early and went through the exam. At the end of it the Dr could not get out of the building fast enough. He left before I even tried the new contacts/prescription out. We'll, the strength that he prescribed was WAY too strong and I couldn't wear them. So, now because he was no longer even in the building, his front desk staff had to scramble around and try out different strengths based off of what my old prescription was. They finally found a combination that worked well enough for me to walk out the door. So, when I could, I called again to make an appointment so that I could get a real exam done and the proper prescription figured out. 2 days before my appointment the office staff calls to tell me I'm not eligible for insurance coverage for an exam since I have already had one! I explained to them how my last appointment went and, understandably not their fault, there's nothing they can do but now I have to pay out of pocket if I want a proper exam. So now I need to find a new Dr, without contacts, and without glasses because this doctor had somewhere more important to be than to be taking care of the patient who had an appointment. Such a shame.

I had a very good experience with this eye care center for my first check-up in several years. All of the staff were courteous and professional, and Dr. Sullins was a pleasure to talk to! One of the staff offered to fix my old frames that had been bent out of shape, and she also helped me to find new frames within my price range. I'm looking forward to coming back here when it's time for my next check-up!

Best eye doctor I have ever seen in my life! Super friendly staff, prompt service and no wait. I have not seen a friendlier bunch of folks anywhere. They took the time to explain everything to me and I was not rushed when selecting frames and lenses. It was a pleasant experience. I wish more businesses operated like they do. A+

The staff was amazing and were very kind and helpful. However, I waited 40 minutes to be seen by the optometrist, and he only was in the room for one minute. Did not go into detail on why he decided with my treatment, but simply told me what I needed to do and left. No explanation was given. Patient care was very subpar in my opinion. I came to go back and advocate for myself, and ask for basic information, and why things were given. Would NOT recommend this place for anyone given that the optometrist's manner was not inviting, and it seemed as though he was rushing to get out. However, Crystal was very kind and understanding.

Been a patient for 10+ years and love love love the care I receive. The quality of the glasses are awesome. I still have all the glasses I ever received and they still look good. I highly recommend Sullins.
